The Gulf South Market Head (MH) is accountable for the strategic direction, enterprise alignment, multi-therapeutic area integration, and overall performance of local market teams. The MH leads primarily through influence and enterprise leadership, not direct field management. This role requires the ability to lead without direct authority, build alignment across functions, and integrate multiple therapeutic areas into cohesive market execution. The MH ensures that revenue growth and patient impact is maximized, business goals are met, resources are efficiently utilized, launches are successfully executed and teams are motivated to achieve exceptional results. This role requires a blend of leadership, analytical, and organizational skills, along with a deep understanding of the industry and the competitive landscape. This market will include the following states: Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee. Roles and Responsibilities: Local market business planning and execution Lead holistic local market business planning, including conducting market assessment, setting goals and priorities, tailoring field deployment plans across roles, current and future indications and therapeutic areas ). Define local KPIs (e.g., new patients on therapy vs total patients on therapy) in line with nationally defined metrics and guidelines. Integrate multiple therapeutic areas into a single local market strategy, ensuring Neuro and Rheumatology execution are both supported, as well as any future indications. Identify new market opportunities, partnerships, growth levers, and revenue streams. Identify innovative approaches to accelerate patient access and strengthen provider engagement. Champion innovation to drive business growth . Ensure adherence to legal, regulatory, and ethical standards , Risk Management and Compliance. ​ Customer experience Build customer relationship with top/senior customers (e.g., IDN leaders, regional payers and providers) in coordination with TBMs, FRMs, TLLs, SAMs, MSLs and Market Access account managers. Ensure coordinated, high quality customer experience across all touchpoints and cross-functional interactions within the local market. Address local market barriers by mobilizing the right functions to problem-solve together. Champion a differentiated customer experience that positions argenx as a trusted partner across healthcare providers, patients and market stakeholders. Cross Functional market team leadership and community leadership Orchestrate all cross-functional field roles across the market, leveraging influence and enterprise leadership to ensure aligned priorities, coordinated customer engagement and accountability for collective outcomes. Provide market level input and feedback on cross functional contributions, while functional coaching remains with discipline leaders. Serve on Indication Strategy Teams, ensuring bi-directional connection between local market insights and national strategy while serving as the local cross-functional lead for aligned indications. Acts as the connective hub between cross-functional leaders, balancing enterprise priorities with local market realities. Responsible for successful geographical execution of customer engagement. Identifying innovative solutions, based on market dynamics. Contribute to the MH community to share learnings and best practices and supporting capability building across markets. Responsible for delivering holistic strategic execution across cross functional teams and provide feedback to leaders in the context of the local market team performance. Foster team work and collaborative culture, champion deployment of and role model argenx ways or working, by empowering teams to get things done, creating channels to ensure frontline voices are heard, being entrepreneurial and customer-centric, executing with urgency, acting as co-owners of the business. Therapeutic Expertise Review and adapt business plans as needed to respond to changing market conditions. Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and industry dynamics to inform strategic decisions. Education, Experience & Qualifications: Bachelors degree required. Advanced Degree, MBA preferred. Minimum 15+ years of progressive experience as a business leader with broad multi-therapeutic area expertise (e.g., neurology, hematology, rheumatology, immunology, dermatology, endocrinology etc.). Strong track record of driving business growth, achieving financial targets, with the ability to balance commercial performance with broader patient and market dynamics. Track record of delivering sales success for rare disease products. Customer-centric mindset and successful track record of effective engagement and relationship building across diverse customer types and internal and external stakeholders​. Cross TA, portfolio-oriented mindset.​ Experience with disease management and management of systematic treatments (infusions/injections). Demonstrated, successful experience in working in strong cross-functional environments, including navigating and partnering with internal cross functional leaders, and non-commercial functions such as Market Access, Medical Affairs, and HUB/Patient Support teams. Experience in biologics and buy and bill customers. In depth experience with local healthcare ecosystem landscape and dynamics​, US Healthcare and payor landscape, including consumer types, their business models and evolving dynamics. Effective leader and collaborator on cross-functional teams with a variety of technical expertise and backgrounds​ with strong clinical, scientific and business acumen. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills. Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities, including the ability to prioritize and manage complexity across multiple customer types and therapeutic areas. Fluency in translating market research and data-driven insights into actionable strategic initiatives. ​ Proficient in Microsoft Office and VEEVA​. Capable of working in an ambiguous environment undergoing transformation. Passionate about leadership and coaching with comfort in engaging in a culture of holistic feedback​. Flexible to travel based o n business needs​ (up to 80 percent). #LI-Remote ‎ For applicants in the United States: The annual base salary hiring range for this position is $236,000.00 - $324,500.00 USD. This range reflects our good faith estimate at the time of posting. Individual compensation is determined using objective, inclusive, and job-related criteria such as relevant experience, skills, demonstrated competencies and internal equity. This means actual pay may differ from the posted range when justified by these factors. Because market conditions evolve, pay ranges are reviewed regularly and may be adjusted to remain aligned with external benchmarks. This job is eligible to participate in our short-term and long-term incentive programs, subject to the terms and conditions of those plans and applicable policies.
