Description PURPOSE Reporting to the Manager, Brand & Content, this entry-level role is an excellent opportunity for a motivated self-starter to launch their marketing career with Armstrong Collective. As a Marketing & PR Assistant, you’ll support the coordination, execution, and delivery of high-impact paid, earned and owned initiatives across our portfolio of brands, including Rocky Mountaineer and Canyon Spirit. Working closely with the Brand & Content, Social Media, and PR teams, you’ll contribute to meaningful projects while providing essential operational and administrative support. This role offers the chance to build hands-on experience, grow your skills, and contribute to creating memorable guest experiences. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Marketing & PR project support: Provide support on projects ranging from campaigns to photo/video shoots to guest-facing collateral, media and influencer campaigns, and other initiatives. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, agency partners, vendors, and cross-functional teams to support the successful delivery of marketing and PR initiatives. Meticulously review and proofread brochures, print ads, website copy, blogs, and other collateral or digital deliverables, ensuring consistency with our brand, graphics, and tone of voice guidelines. Support in the coordination of media familiarization trips for journalists and influencers in the Canadian Rockies and American Southwest, ensuring a positive and professional experience for partners and guests. Support with community engagement across our social media platforms as required. Assist in marketing project coordination including timelines, asset development/management and stakeholder communications. Monitor media, influencer, and industry trends, proactively sharing relevant insights with the team. Support the team and guests during any emergency or irregular operations, which could occur outside of regular office hours. Brand asset and content development support: Conduct content audits and updates, as required, to support brand or product changes across our owned channels. Utilize the CMS to upload content and press releases onto our websites or other digital platforms. Support the management of our brand assets within our digital asset management platform, including reviewing footage, tagging, and uploading new assets onto the asset platform as required. Apply sound judgment when reviewing, fact-checking, organizing, and publishing content assets such as Mile Post, blog posts, etc. Contribute to maintaining brand consistency by supporting the stewardship of brand guidelines, assets, and content libraries. General administrative support: Take responsibility of managing and triaging marketing inboxes, ensuring timely responses and appropriate follow-ups between internal teams, guests, and partners. Support with the management of our media inbox, tracking inquiries and communicating with media and influencers as required. Support in finance and invoice management with our suppliers. Contribute to continuous improvement by maintaining well-organized documentation, processes, and shared team resources. Ensure shared marketing and PR files and assets are well-organized on our SharePoint system. Support the updating and maintenance of the marketing projects calendar. Coordinate and attend meetings and provide meeting minutes as required. QUALIFICATIONS Education / Certifications / Licenses: Post-secondary degree/diploma in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or Business required Experience: Up to 1-2 years’ experience in marketing and/or communications roles (agency or client). Experience with brand and content marketing, social media, public relations and/or external communications is an asset. Experience in travel/tourism is considered an asset. Skills: Self-starter who can work well independently or as part of a collaborative team. Builds positive working relationships and collaborates effectively across teams and with external partners. Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines and deliver high-quality work. Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills. Strong proofreading ability and attention to detail. Sound judgement in escalating questions or issues when needed. Embraces learning opportunities, seeks feedback, and actively develops new skills and knowledge. Service-oriented with a strong customer focus. Advanced MS Office skills; basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is an asset. Ability to travel a few times a year if required. Compensation: The base salary offered for this role is $53,000 to $58,000 per annum and can vary based on job-related expertise, qualifications, experience and internal equity.
