Master Data Specialist Location: Hyderabad, India Hybrid Role- 3 days in office/2 remote Position Summary The Engineering Master Data Specialist is responsible for the accurate creation, maintenance, and governance of engineering and ERP master data supporting KiddeFenwal's manufacturing operations in India and the United Kingdom. This role ensures the integrity of product, engineering, manufacturing, customer, supplier, and supply chain master data that supports planning, procurement, manufacturing, customer service, finance, and regulatory compliance. The Engineering Master Data Specialist partners closely with Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Customer Experience, and Information Technology teams to ensure all master data changes are accurate, timely, properly approved, and executed in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and data governance standards. The successful candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, process-driven, and committed to following defined procedures while maintaining exceptional data accuracy. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills are essential, as the role collaborates regularly with global teams across multiple functions and regions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Create, maintain, and update engineering and ERP master data, including item masters, bills of material (BOMs), routings, product structures, and related manufacturing data. Ensure all master data transactions are completed accurately and in compliance with approved SOPs, work instructions, and governance requirements. Support Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), and product lifecycle activities by implementing approved changes within required timelines. Validate and audit data to ensure completeness, accuracy, consistency, and regulatory compliance. Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Customer Experience, and IT teams to resolve data-related issues and support day-to-day business operations. Support new product introductions, product revisions, and product discontinuations through accurate system setup and maintenance. Maintain documentation and records associated with master data activities to ensure traceability and audit readiness. Escalate data discrepancies, process deviations, and system issues to appropriate stakeholders for resolution. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on enhancing data quality, process efficiency, and master data governance. Assist with ERP system enhancements, testing activities, and process improvement projects. Generate and analyze reports to identify trends, errors, and opportunities for corrective action. Support internal and external audits as required. Follow all company policies, quality requirements, safety procedures, and regulatory standards. Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field. Experience Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, ERP, or data management environment. Experience working with ERP systems and engineering-related data preferred. Exposure to manufacturing processes, engineering changes, or supply chain operations is desirable. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Demonstrated ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and established business processes. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high levels of data accuracy. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with global stakeholders across India, the United Kingdom, and other international locations. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications. Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines. Strong organizational and time-management skills.
