Responsibilities Position Summary The Manager, Master Scheduling leads the master scheduling function across Cordis finished goods manufacturing sites and serves as the operational bridge between the Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) process and manufacturing execution. This role is responsible for translating approved supply plans into executable production schedules within the tactical planning horizon while ensuring alignment with capacity, material availability, customer service requirements, inventory objectives, and overall business priorities. The position establishes standardized master scheduling processes, drives schedule governance, and partners closely with Manufacturing, Supply Planning, Materials, Procurement, Logistics, Finance, and SIOP to proactively identify and manage risks that could impact customer service, inventory, working capital, and business performance. This role also contributes to planning decisions, operational strategy, and workforce capability development for the Master Scheduling organization. Key Responsibilities Lead the Master Scheduling team across multiple manufacturing sites, including future site expansions, to ensure customer service levels are met while balancing inventory, working capital, and operational efficiency. Collaborate with the SIOP team to build aligned supply plans and translate them into feasible master production schedules for the tactical planning horizon. Own master scheduling governance, standard work, planning policies, and scheduling best practices across the network. Establish and maintain planning procedures that support consistent execution across multiple disciplines and sites. Balance production schedules against capacity, labor, equipment, material constraints, and business priorities. Determine planning priorities and resource requirements to meet customer demand, supply objectives, and production commitments. Partner with Manufacturing, Supply Planning, Materials, Procurement, Logistics, Finance, and SIOP to ensure operational changes are reflected in enterprise plans and business decisions. Identify, communicate, and escalate supply risks, capacity constraints, schedule impacts, and potential service or financial exposures. Lead cross-functional operational initiatives that improve schedule stability, planning accuracy, execution performance, and responsiveness to change. Support annual business planning, capacity reviews, and SIOP cycles by providing planning insights, risks, and recommendations. Monitor and manage performance against key metrics including schedule adherence, plan stability, inventory impact, and master schedule accuracy. Develop, coach, and mentor Master Schedulers while building organizational capability, succession depth, and planning discipline within the team. Present planning performance, risk assessments, and recommendations to Supply Chain and Operations leadership. Recommend changes to planning policies, methods, and techniques to improve effectiveness across multiple sites and disciplines. Qualifications Required Qualifications University degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience required. Advanced/graduate degree preferred for some disciplines. Requires a total minimum of 8+ years of relevant experience. Experience with Master Production Scheduling (MPS), capacity planning, and ERP/MRP systems. Demonstrated leadership of cross-functional planning initiatives and teams. Experience influencing decisions across multiple functions and balancing operational and business priorities. Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Qualifications APICS/ASCM CPIM or CSCP certification. Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment. Multi-site planning or manufacturing experience.
