What you’ll do As a Mechanical Engineer in our Mining & Resources team based in Brisbane, you’ll contribute to projects and programs that make a real difference and be part of a team that embraces challenges, welcomes diverse ideas, and engineer solutions with people and outcomes in mind. Deliver mechanical engineering designs, calculations and technical analysis for a range of mining and resources projects. Develop engineering deliverables including reports, equipment specifications, data sheets, 3D models and construction drawings. Support the design and optimisation of bulk materials handling systems and associated infrastructure. Collaborate with clients and project teams to solve complex engineering challenges and deliver practical outcomes. Undertake site inspections, project scoping, commissioning support and stakeholder engagement activities. Contribute to proposals, studies, project estimates and business development initiatives. What you’ll bring Relevant qualifications in Mechanical Engineering and be working towards or eligible for RPEQ registration. Experience delivering projects within the industrial, mining, manufacturing or resources sectors. Knowledge of bulk materials handling equipment such as conveyors, chutes, reclaimers, stackers and loading facilities. Experience with engineering software including Sidewinder, BeltAnalyst, Ansys Rocky, Python, VBA, MATLAB, Inventor or Fusion 360. Strong project delivery skills and the ability to manage competing priorities. Excellent communication skills and the confidence to build trusted relationships with clients and colleagues.
