The Opportunity: Make a Healthcare Impact Are you a data-driven problem solver who wants to see your work improve real-world patient care? As a Mechanical Systems Engineer, you won't just crunch numbers. You will use your analytical skills to shape the future of healthcare facility design. From world-renowned medical institutions to cutting-edge hospital campuses, your insights will validate the groundbreaking principles behind how modern hospitals operate. You’ll collaborate with a talented team of Engineers, Project Managers, and Directors to optimize supply chain operations, clinical processes, and inventory systems. What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities): Turn Data into Strategy: Consolidate, cleanse, and analyze complex customer data to uncover hidden opportunities for improvement and build data-driven recommendations. Design the Future: Assist in crafting project deliverables, including narratives and presentations that will guide leading healthcare facilities toward peak efficiency. Mentor & Lead: Act as a go-to reference for junior Analysts and Engineers, helping review data analysis and training them on internal proprietary tools and models. Innovate: Research emerging technologies and equipment, and continuously help refine St. Onge's proprietary internal tools and models. What You Bring to the Table: Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Experience: 2+ years of professional experience in a hospital or medical facility environment (focused on cost analysis, layout design, or inventory analysis). Technical Chops: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with strong analytical skills tied to complex supply chain and plant operations. Communication Style: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an unwavering attention to detail. Bonus Points: A Lean Six Sigma certification is a major plus! Work Environment & Physical Demands: Enjoy flexibility with our hybrid and remote office options . When visiting client sites, you will experience a mix of controlled office spaces, active hospital support areas, and warehouse operations. Site visits may include walking tours of patient care and support areas, and occasional lifting of materials up to 50 lbs. Travel is project-dependent (typically 10–15%) and can vary from local driving to regional trains or domestic/international flights, including occasional overnights.
