Founded in 2006, AVS Added Value Solutions is a leading high-tech engineering company with 20 years of experience delivering complex, pivotal projects across Fusion Energy, Scientific Innovation, Particle Accelerators, and Space.
Our track record includes three proprietary LUR-family satellites currently in orbit, which have successfully demonstrated the maturity of our platform architecture, subsystems, and LEO operations. Building on this flight heritage, we leverage our modular LUR-100 platform to support demanding institutional missions, including the ESA ARRAKIHS project and the development of the Canary Islands Satellite Constellation (Constelación Canaria).
To drive these ambitious initiatives forward, we are currently scaling our Space Division to advance our SmallSat capabilities.
As a Mechanical Technician, you will be the hands-on backbone of our spacecraft mechanical integration and AIT (Assembly, Integration, and Test) campaigns. You will bridge the gap between mechanical designs and flight-ready hardware, ensuring the highest standards of precision and structural integrity. Beyond assembly, you will play a central role in the physical execution of our SmallSat programs, acting as a key contributor to the quality and flightworthiness of our modular satellite platforms as we scale our production and integration capabilities in our Vitoria and Elgóibar facilities.
● Perform high-precision mechanical assembly, integration, and alignment of satellite structures, mechanisms, and payload components in a cleanroom environment.
● Operate and maintain mechanical test facilities, including vibration shakers, thermal chambers, and lifting/handling equipment.
● Support the assembly and integration of Ground Support Equipment (MGSE), including design support, maintenance, and operational deployment.
● Interpret mechanical drawings, 3D models, and technical specifications to execute complex assembly sequences with high accuracy.
● Document all integration and test activities, including torque records, shimming logs, and non-conformance reports, to support the End Item Data Package (EIDP) process.
● Maintain a safe and organized workspace, ensuring compliance with all cleanroom protocols and mechanical safety standards.
We welcome candidates with diverse backgrounds and recognize that great talent comes from various paths. If you meet most of the following criteria, we encourage you to apply:
● While space experience is a plus, we encourage candidates with experience in similarly structured, highly regulated markets such as Automotive, Defense, Aerospace, or precision manufacturing to apply.
● Proven hands-on experience in precision mechanical assembly, including structural mounting, fastener installation, torque application, and alignment procedures.
● Ability to read and interpret complex mechanical engineering drawings, assembly instructions, and 3D CAD models (e.g., SolidWorks, Catia).
● Meticulous attention to detail and a disciplined approach to following standardized work instructions and strict quality assurance protocols.
● A proactive, team-oriented mindset with the ability to communicate technical issues clearly and support engineers during troubleshooting and integration campaigns.
● Vocational degree or technical certification in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
● This position is based at our Vitoria and Elgóibar facilities, providing a hands-on environment in our core cleanrooms and laboratories.
● You will enjoy a flexible hybrid working setup where possible, while collaborating closely with our international teams across borders.
● We support a healthy lifestyle with flexible working hours and opportunities for professional development.
● A welcoming onboarding process designed to set you up for success, including the assignment of a dedicated "buddy" during your first few months.
● If you are interested in this position, please submit your CV to [email protected].
● Work Eligibility: Candidates must hold EU/UK citizenship or a valid full work permit for Spain/UK. We are strictly unable to provide visa sponsorship for these positions, and we can currently only consider applicants with an existing right to work in the country.
● Work Model: Some activities must be carried out on-site at our facilities, while others are location-independent and can be performed effectively in a hybrid or remote setup.
