Rutter Mills LLP, a leading personal injury law firm in Hampton Roads, is seeking a knowledgeable and client-focused Medical Case Manager to join our team. This role supports clients, attorneys, and case teams by helping manage client treatment, monitor medical progress, and provide medical insight throughout the personal injury case process. LPN or RN required. Schedule: Full-time Location: Work from home, hybrid, or in-office options Pay: $50,000 - $60,000 per year About the Role: As a Medical Case Manager, you will assist with case management by maintaining regular contact with clients, checking on treatment status, helping identify treatment needs or gaps, assisting with referrals when appropriate, and answering client questions along the way. This position requires strong medical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to stay organized while supporting multiple cases. This is not a clinical nursing position and does not involve practicing as a nurse. Instead, the role uses medical knowledge to support clients, attorneys, and case teams throughout the personal injury process. Key Responsibilities Maintain regular contact with clients by phone, email, and text to answer questions, provide updates, and support treatment follow-through. Monitor treatment status, identify gaps in care or missed appointments, and assist with medical referrals when appropriate. Review medical information, provider notes, treatment plans, and case-related documentation. Stay involved in cases when additional medical insight, treatment follow-up, or client communication is needed. Communicate updates and concerns to attorneys and case management team members. Maintain accurate notes and organized case records within the firm’s case management system. Follow firm procedures and maintain confidentiality in all client and case-related communications. Qualifications LPN or RN required. Strong medical background with knowledge of treatment plans, provider notes, and medical terminology. Excellent communication and client service skills, including comfort with phone, email, and text communication. Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple clients, follow-ups, and case-related tasks. Comfortable learning new software and maintaining accurate case notes.
