Time: Full-Time (MST during onboarding/training, flexible post-training)

Compensation: $2,000/month USD

Role Overview

Our client is looking for a thorough Medical Insurance Specialist to conduct physical reviews of patient statements prior to distribution. This role plays a critical part in verifying account balances, addressing coordination of benefits issues, and ensuring proper discounts are applied accurately. Additionally, this position will serve as cross-functional support and backup for payment posting activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform physical and systematic reviews of patient statements before sending them out

• Verify patient account balances for accuracy and completeness

• Address and resolve coordination of benefits (COB) issues

• Ensure appropriate patient discounts and adjustments are applied according to protocol

• Validate account details and identify billing or balance errors

• Provide operational backup support to the primary payment posting team as needed

Qualifications

• Solid background in revenue cycle management, medical billing, or insurance processes

• Proven experience in statement review, account validation, or balance verification

• Strong understanding of coordination of benefits (COB) and account reconciliation

• High level of attention to detail, accuracy, and analytical skills

• Excellent problem-solving capabilities to address account discrepancies

• Ability to commit to full-time client business hours during initial training and onboarding
