How You’ll Contribute We’re looking for a thoughtful, mission-aligned Medical Supervisor , Psychiatry to help shape and oversee high-quality virtual behavioral health care for adults with complex needs. In this part-time clinical leadership role, you will serve as a supervising physician for psychiatric Advanced Practice Providers and provide clinical oversight for Licensed Clinical Social Workers delivering psychotherapy, while helping build the clinical standards, protocols, and safety practices that support excellent care at scale. This role is engaged through the medical practice and is responsible for clinical decision-making and oversight What You’ll Do Serve as supervising physician for psychiatric APPs, including PMHNPs, and provide clinical oversight for LCSWs delivering psychotherapy, in accordance with applicable state laws and scope-of-practice requirements. Establish and maintain clinical standards for adult behavioral health populations across psychiatric and psychotherapeutic care. Provide clinical escalation support for complex psychiatric cases, including risk assessment, safety planning, and crisis situations. Conduct regular chart reviews, audits, and co-signatures as required , with timely and actionable feedback. Ensure care delivery reflects evidence-based psychiatric and psychotherapy standards, including appropriate screening , diagnosis, treatment, follow-up, and documentation. Design and refine psychiatric clinical protocols, pathways, and care models for common behavioral health conditions and co-occurring medical comorbidities. Lead quality improvement initiatives focused on behavioral health outcomes, patient engagement, retention, provider performance, and documentation quality. Ensure compliance with state, federal, and telehealth regulations, including controlled-substance prescribing rules, behavioral health confidentiality requirements, informed consent, mandatory reporting, and duty-to-warn obligations. Lead care team meetings, case reviews, and psychiatric clinical forums that support consistent, high-quality care delivery. Support onboarding and ongoing training for psychiatric APPs, LCSWs, and care teams, including therapeutic rapport, risk management, and safety practices in virtual behavioral health care. Partner with Luro Health on behavioral health care model design, clinical workflow optimization, and product considerations for psychiatric telehealth delivery. What We’re Looking For M.D. or D.O. with active, unrestricted medical licenses in Vermont and Pennsylvania. Board certification in Psychiatry required Experience supervising psychiatric APPs and/or LCSWs in telehealth or multi-state environments preferred. Strong knowledge of psychiatric clinical guidelines, quality metrics, documentation expectations, and regulatory requirements. Experience with Medicaid and Medicare populations and integrated behavioral health care models strongly preferred. Demonstrated leadership in clinical program development, provider oversight, and quality improvement. Excellent communication skills with care teams, cross-functional partners, and patients. Comfort operating in a growing, remote-first organization where clinical rigor, collaboration, and practical problem-solving matter. Schedule & Compensation Hours: ~10-20 hours/week, with flexibility based on availability and program needs.
