This role is for one of the Weekday's clients Salary range: Rs 1500000 - Rs 3000000 (ie INR 15- 30 LPA) Min Experience: 12+ years Location: India JobType: full-time We are seeking an experienced MES AVEVA Consultant with strong Portuguese language proficiency to lead the design, implementation, integration, and support of Manufacturing Execution System (MES) solutions using the AVEVA MES platform. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in manufacturing digitalization initiatives, smart factory implementations, and enterprise-level MES deployments while effectively collaborating with Portuguese-speaking stakeholders across global manufacturing operations. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, manufacturing domain knowledge, and excellent communication skills in Portuguese to ensure successful project delivery, system optimization, and business transformation. Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end implementation, configuration, and deployment of AVEVA MES solutions for manufacturing clients. Gather and analyze business requirements from Portuguese-speaking stakeholders and translate them into scalable MES solutions. Configure production models, workflows, work orders, material tracking, quality management, genealogy, and production reporting within the AVEVA MES platform. Design and implement integrations between AVEVA MES and enterprise applications such as ERP, SCADA, PLC, Historian, and other shop-floor automation systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, automation, IT, and operations to deliver business-critical solutions. Conduct system design workshops, solution reviews, user acceptance testing (UAT), and production rollouts. Troubleshoot production issues, optimize system performance, and provide long-term application support. Prepare technical documentation, functional specifications, configuration documents, and user manuals in accordance with project standards. Mentor junior consultants and provide technical leadership throughout project lifecycles. Ensure compliance with manufacturing standards, quality regulations, and best practices. Support digital transformation initiatives including Industry 4.0, Smart Manufacturing, and operational excellence programs. Communicate effectively with global teams and Portuguese-speaking business users throughout project execution. Must-Have Skills Strong expertise in AVEVA MES implementation, configuration, customization, and support. Professional proficiency in Portuguese (reading, writing, and verbal communication). Extensive experience implementing MES solutions in manufacturing environments. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes including production, quality, inventory, traceability, and genealogy. Experience integrating MES with ERP systems, SCADA, PLCs, Historians, and industrial automation platforms. Knowledge of manufacturing data collection, reporting, and analytics. Experience in solution architecture, system configuration, deployment, and production support. Strong stakeholder management and client-facing communication skills. Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple implementation projects in global manufacturing environments. Preferred Skills Experience with Industry 4.0, Smart Factory, IIoT, and digital manufacturing initiatives. Knowledge of SQL databases and reporting tools. Familiarity with ISA-95, ISA-88, GMP, GAMP, and manufacturing compliance standards. Exposure to cloud-based manufacturing platforms and enterprise integration technologies. Experience working within Agile and Waterfall project methodologies. Leadership experience in global implementation programs. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline. 12–20 years of overall IT and manufacturing systems experience. Significant hands-on experience with AVEVA MES implementations across multiple manufacturing industries. Proven ability to communicate fluently with Portuguese-speaking customers and global project teams.
