Job Description Hybrid: This position requires to work 3 days on site 2 days at home remote on a full-time basis Key responsibilities Mexico NOM compliance management Monitor applicable Mexico NOM requirements and communicate requirements, changes, and site expectations to the Mexico medical team. Translate NOM requirements into operational actions, standardized work, and site-level implementation plans across Mexico medical operations. Conduct periodic compliance reviews to identify gaps, assign corrective actions, and verify closure. Training coordination Build, coordinate, and sustain training programs for Mexico medical and nursing coordinators, nurse supervisors, and medical staff. Coordinate onboarding and role-based training for new medical leaders and team members. Ensure training content includes NOM requirements, compliance expectations, emergency response, blood-borne pathogen requirements, surveillance and qualification exams, equipment calibration, and standardization of medical practices. Track training completion and verify competency for roles impacted by regulatory and policy requirements. Policy and procedure management Own development, implementation, maintenance, and communication of Mexico medical policies and procedures. Standardize medical processes across sites to ensure alignment with GM requirements and Mexico regulatory expectations. Conduct periodic reviews of policies, procedures, standing orders, and site practices to identify gaps, drive corrective actions, and improve compliance. Compliance and operational coordination Monitor and report on qualification exams, surveillance exams, NOM requirements, and other compliance-related medical activities. Support documentation standards, audit readiness, license verification, and medical record/process consistency. Partner with HR, Legal, Safety, IH, Security, and plant leadership to reduce medical, labor, and regulatory risk in Mexico operations. Coordinate compliance-related actions involving emergency response readiness, equipment standardization, and medication/process controls where physician-order or protocol governance is required. Metrics and continuous improvement Establish standard templates and dashboards for monthly reporting across Mexico medical operations. Track key indicators such as NOM compliance status, surveillance completion, qualification exam completion, training completion, audit findings, documentation quality, medication utilization, and safety support metrics. Share best practices across sites and support replication of successful programs and processes. Organizational relationships This role reports to the Mexico Medical Manager and works in close collaboration with Mexico site Medical Coordinators, physicians, nurse supervisors, nurses, and cross-functional business partners. The current Mexico structure reflects dedicated coordination needs across NOM compliance, policy and procedure management, training, and site standardization, supporting the need for a role with strong integration across these functions. Requirements / Qualifications Education & Certifications: Education: Medical Degree (M. D. / Licenciatura en Medicina ) with an active professional license ( Cédula Profesional ). Specialization: Post-graduate studies, diploma, or master's degree in Occupational Health, Environmental Health, or related fields ( Deseable/Plus ). Experience: 6+ years of experience in Occupational Health & Safety within manufacturing, automotive, or industrial environments. Proven track record in multi-site or regional medical operations coordination. Technical Knowledge & Skills: Regulatory Expertise: Strong, in-depth knowledge of Mexican Labor Laws, Social Security regulations (IMSS/ST-7/ST-9), and STPS Official Mexican Standards (NOMs) applicable to occupational health. Systems & Tools: Proficient in medical management systems (e. g., Cority , Medgate, or similar EHS platforms) and advanced Microsoft Excel/PowerPoint for metrics dashboard creation and reporting. Audit & Compliance: Hands-on experience preparing sites for internal/external audits, establishing medical protocols, and managing medical equipment calibration & standing orders. Core Competencies & Soft Skills: Language: 100% Bilingual (English & Spanish) with fluent verbal and written communication skills to interface with global leaders and local teams. Cross-Functional Leadership: Ability to partner effectively with HR, Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Legal, Security, and Plant Directors. Change Management & Training: Experience in designing training programs, onboarding protocols, and driving process standardization/continuous improvement across multiple locations.
