Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Consultant

Contract | Remote | ERP Migration & Implementation

We are looking for an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Consultant to support an ERP migration and implementation project involving the transition from Xero to Business Central and the setup of a new U.S. legal entity.

The ideal candidate will combine strong Business Central functional knowledge with hands-on experience in ERP implementations, migrations, configuration, and customization.

• Support the migration from Xero to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• Assist with the implementation and setup of a new U.S. entity within Business Central.
• Review and migrate existing Business Central/Xero configurations and customizations.
• Configure Business Central according to business and accounting requirements.
• Identify gaps between the current environment and the new U.S. entity.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business processes and requirements.
• Support data migration, testing, troubleshooting, and system validation.
• Coordinate with technical resources on required custom development and integrations.
• Provide guidance throughout the implementation and migration process.
• Help ensure the new environment is scalable, compliant, and aligned with business needs.

• Proven experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• Experience with ERP implementation and/or migration projects.
• Experience configuring Business Central entities, modules, workflows, and business processes.
• Strong understanding of accounting and financial processes within Business Central.
• Experience working with customizations and Business Central development.
• Ability to understand existing configurations and translate them into a new environment.
• Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central certification or equivalent current Microsoft certification.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

• Experience with Xero migrations to Business Central.
• Experience setting up U.S. legal entities/localization in Business Central.
• Knowledge of AL development and Business Central extensions.
• Experience with integrations and APIs.
• Previous experience supporting international ERP implementations.

The company currently operates with Xero and Microsoft Business Central. The Xero implementation is being migrated to Business Central, while a new U.S. entity needs to be established. The consultant will play a key role in helping define, configure, migrate, and validate the new Business Central environment.
