Mid Backend Developer

Backend Developer – Python/Node.js Focus Experience: Mid to Senior Location: Remote About the Role: Global Technology Services is looking for a Mid to Senior Backend Developer with strong experience in Python or Node.js , TypeScript, and PostgreSQL. This person will work on the development and evolution of different products, building backend solutions, APIs, integrations, and database components. We are looking for someone with solid software development fundamentals who can combine traditional engineering with modern tools such as Xano, Lovable, AI services, and low-code/no-code platforms to deliver solutions faster without compromising quality. Responsibilities Develop and maintain backend applications using Python or Node.js, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL. Build scalable backend services. Design and integrate REST APIs and third-party services. Work with Xano, Lovable, or other low-code/no-code tools when appropriate. Participate in technical planning, estimations, and architecture discussions. Write clean, maintainable, tested, and documented code. Review code and collaborate with other engineers. Troubleshoot issues across backend, databases, and integrations. Use AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and delivery. Take ownership of features from planning through production. Required Skills – Technical 3+ years of professional software development experience. Strong experience building backend applications and APIs with Python or Node.js. Good knowledge of PostgreSQL and relational database concepts. Solid understanding of software development fundamentals, clean code, design patterns, and scalable architecture. Experience with REST APIs, authentication, error handling, and integrations. Experience using Git and pull-request-based workflows. Ability to work across backend and database layers. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Nice to Have Experience with React and frontend development. Experience with Xano or similar backend low-code platforms. Experience using Lovable or AI-assisted application builders. Familiarity with low-code and no-code development. Experience integrating AI APIs, LLMs, or automation tools. Knowledge of Express, NestJS, Django, or FastAPI. Experience with Docker, cloud services, and CI/CD. Experience mentoring other developers or leading small technical initiatives.
