Middle DevOps Engineer

Middle DevOps Engineer Position Summary: We are looking for a Middle DevOps Engineer to work inside the Platform team, to manage a mixture of services both on and off the cloud, primarily running on Kubernetes. You will report into the DevOps Lead and support a mixture of software and services. This is a fully remote role, and we welcome applications from anywhere in Europe. More details: crystalintelligence.com Duties and responsibilities: Manage (and build) projects and hybrid infrastructure Configure and maintain internal services Build and maintain monitoring systems Build and deploy environments Drive bare-metal deployment Drive performance and integration testing Improve the current infrastructure Required: Continuous experience in DevOps/IT system administration for more than 4 years Knowledge and practical experience with deployment and administration of Unix/Linux servers (Debian/Ubuntu, RHEL/Centos) Good understanding of common IT security practices Experience in building and maintaining hybrid infrastructures Experience implementing CI/CD (Github actions a plus) Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Saltstack, etc.) Experience with virtualisation and containerisation tools Ability to perform root cause analysis for production errors Familiarity with ISO 27001, SOC2 requirements and CIS benchmarks Working knowledge of databases and clustering (SQL, NoSQL) Proficiency in cloud-based DevOps practices, specifically in Terraform, IaC, PaC K8s experience, deploying, testing and managing a cluster Proficient understanding of Git Experience with log management tools Good skills in scripting languages (Bash, Python etc.) Experience with application & infrastructure monitoring in production environment Good understanding of a software development process, everyday duties will include cooperation with both SW development and QA teams Knowledge and practical experience in Advanced Networking including building and supporting local and global networks, ACLs, firewalls, VPN tunnels, advanced routing Availability to be on call 24/7 (only in case of a disaster) Would be a plus: Experience with AWS/GCP stack will be an advantage Experience with Microsoft 365 stack will be an advantage Tech stack: Languages: Terraform, Python, Kubernetes YAML Database: PostgreSQL Platform: Talos, Proxmox Locations Warsaw, Bucharest, Lisbon Remote status Fully Remote About Crystal Intelligence Crystal is a globally distributed team of world-class blockchain analysts, award-winning mathematicians, and professional software developers with headquarters in London and Amsterdam.
