Position & client Our client, Toromont Cat, is a Canadian industrial company that provides equipment, power systems, and support services for industries such as construction, mining, and energy. The application is built on a Microsoft technology stack, including Azure, .NET, and an MSSQL database, and is used daily by internal staff to support core business operations . Stack of the project NextJs ReactJs .NET Core, Azure Services Supabase, PostgreSQL Responsibilities Develop and maintain web applications using JavaScript/TypeScript. Take part in web application migration from Next.js to .NET. Develop and maintain backend services and REST APIs. Implement new features based on business and technical requirements. Work with Microsoft SQL Server to design, query, and optimize data access. Develop and maintain integrations with internal and external services. Work with Azure services to deploy, configure, and support application components. Investigate and resolve software defects and production issues. Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code following established coding standards. Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical discussions. Write unit and integration tests for developed functionality. Collaborate closely with the QA engineer to investigate and resolve defects. Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to estimation and technical planning. Contribute to technical documentation and development best practices. Monitor application performance and troubleshoot issues across frontend, backend, and database layers. Requirements 4+ years of commercial software development experience. Strong experience with C# and .NET / ASP.NET Core. Experience developing RESTful APIs. Experience with Angular, NextJS, ReactJS, and TypeScript. Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server. Experience with Microsoft Azure. Experience with AI-assisted software development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude), with the ability to effectively validate and adapt AI-generated code. Excellent knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts. Experience with Entity Framework Core or another ORM. Experience with Git and Git-based development workflows. Understanding of software development principles and design patterns. Experience writing unit tests. Understanding of CI/CD concepts. Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment. Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently as well as as part of a development team. Good English communication skills. (B2+) Nice to Have Experience with Microsoft Azure. Familiarity with Azure App Service. Experience with Azure Functions. Experience with Azure SQL. Familiarity with Azure Storage. Experience with Azure Service Bus. Knowledge of Azure Key Vault. Experience with Azure DevOps / Azure Pipelines. Understanding of application monitoring with Azure Application Insights.
