This is the job We are looking for a Middle Java Engineer to join a high-impact team within the banking sector in Córdoba . The team works on highly visible initiatives to modernize legacy systems and evolve them toward scalable, distributed architectures. This role offers a high level of autonomy and the opportunity to contribute to significant technical transformation. The position follows a hybrid 3x2 model, with 3 days per week working from the bank's office in Córdoba This is you Strong knowledge of working with and modernizing legacy monolithic applications. Solid experience with Java 8+. Strong understanding of refactoring techniques and software design patterns. Hands-on knowledge of microservices architecture, including modularization and migration from monoliths to microservices. Familiarity with containers and containerized applications. Knowledge of API Gateway, Consul, and distributed configuration. Solid understanding of relational databases and database migration strategies. Knowledge of messaging and event-driven technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ. Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices. Ability to work independently and take ownership of high-impact technical initiatives. Nice-to-have skills: Experience with large-scale banking or financial systems. Hands-on knowledge of distributed architectures. Experience with incremental modernization of complex legacy platforms. Familiarity with cloud-native technologies and practices. This is your role Modernize and refactor existing Java monoliths, applying appropriate design patterns and modularization strategies. Design and develop microservices, supporting the gradual migration from legacy monolithic architectures. Work with relational databases and contribute to the migration toward distributed data structures. Implement and maintain integrations using Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar messaging technologies. Contribute to containerization, API Gateway, Consul, CI/CD, and DevOps practices. Take ownership of high-impact initiatives, working autonomously with technical and business stakeholders.
