As we expand our operations globally. Blackstone is hiring Millwrights, from first-year apprentice to Journeyman to take on field projects and maintenance jobs at customer sites across the country. This term position offers a varying work schedule based on project demands. As a valued member of our team, you’ll be expected to align with Blackstone’s culture of excellence, safety, and quality while bringing your expertise to every site you support. Key Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment. Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues. Disassemble and reassemble machinery for repair or maintenance. Conduct preventative maintenance to prevent breakdowns. Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed. Maintaining an organized and safe workspace all the while completing all required documentation for assigned tasks. Adhering to and promoting a safe work environment for yourself and co-workers. Working within a team, and on occasion on your own depending on the task. Being flexible to the urgent nature of our business, you may be asked periodically to ensure work is completed in a timely manner. Read diagrams and schematic drawings and service manuals to determine work procedures. Qualifications Experience with equipment overhauls. Have thorough knowledge of compressors – reciprocating and centrifugal, gearboxes, pumps, fans, and blowers. Fit bearings, align gears and shafts, attach motors, and connect couplings and belts to precise tolerances. Strong Hoisting & Rigging skills. Proficient with aligning equipment (laser alignment tool) and measuring tools. Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals. Troubleshooting failures & malfunctioning equipment. Perform predictive and operational procedures. Proficiency in using hand and power tools. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. Strong attention to detail and precision. Safety-conscious mindset. Be motivated, well organized, punctual, honest and willing to learn. Have strong customer service and communication skills Be flexible with time scheduling to meet customer needs, OT will be required when needed. Comply with all company policies, company safety, quality and performance Education and Certifications Completion of a recognized Millwright apprenticeship program Successful completion of our pre-employment drug and alcohol test Have a valid class 5 driver’s license H2S, Fall Arrest, Confined Space, and CSO safety tickets O/H Crane, Rigging Safety, Fork Lift, Zoom Boom, First Aid, and SCBA courses are not mandatory but are assets. This role supports Fall 2026 turnaround projects at various sites throughout Alberta and will require travel to assigned work locations.
