The Mobile Clinic Driver operates a commercial mobile medical unit to transport a dedicated healthcare team, including physicians and medical staff, to various locations. This role provides essential transportation logistics to deliver medical services to veterans in rural and underserved communities. This position requires extensive travel and is designed for professional drivers seeking a community-focused commercial driving role. Primary Responsibilities: Operate Vehicle: Safely drive a Class A commercial vehicle to transport the mobile medical clinic between event locations. Support Team: Travel with physicians and medical professionals to support scheduled healthcare events. Conduct Inspections: Perform required Department of Transportation (DOT) inspections before, during, and after trips. Maintain Vehicle: Ensure the mobile unit remains clean, safe, compliant, and fully operational. Coordinate Logistics: Plan and coordinate travel logistics with internal operations teams. Log Compliance: Maintain accurate electronic driver logs and all required DOT documentation. Manage Service: Monitor vehicle maintenance needs and schedule servicing as required. Handle Equipment: Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting medical equipment weighing up to 70 pounds. Track Inventory: Maintain an accurate inventory of equipment and supplies inside the mobile clinic. Manage Asset: Serve as the primary custodian and steward of the assigned mobile clinic unit. Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED 3–5 years of commercial driving experience Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License Clean driving record for the past 3–5 years Ability to pass a DOT physical and maintain DOT qualifications Minimum age of 21 years, per DOT regulations Valid U.S. Driver's License Ability and willingness to travel extensively Residence within 50 miles of a major airport Ability to successfully pass a background investigation and DOT drug screening Additional Information: Training: 3 weeks of comprehensive onboarding and training, including shadowing peers during travel/events Shift: Events are typically Monday through Friday from 8am - 5pm Travel expenses are paid for by the company Candidates residing in the Central North region of the United States is preferred.
