This role is for one of our clients Compensation: $70-$105 per hour We are seeking experienced molecular biology professionals to contribute to the development of next-generation AI models capable of advanced reasoning across the life sciences. This opportunity focuses on designing and evaluating DNA and RNA sequences used in modern molecular biology research, helping create high-quality training data for cutting-edge AI systems. If you have hands-on experience designing nucleic acid constructs prior to experimental work, this is an opportunity to apply your expertise to projects at the intersection of molecular biology and artificial intelligence. Key Responsibilities Design and review DNA and RNA sequences, including primers, plasmids, guide RNAs, repair templates, and other molecular biology constructs. Create challenging, scientifically accurate tasks based on real-world molecular biology workflows. Develop detailed, well-documented reference solutions that serve as expert ground truth for AI training. Evaluate AI-generated outputs for scientific accuracy, experimental validity, and biological reasoning. Provide clear, structured feedback to improve AI model performance and consistency. Collaborate with fellow subject matter experts to ensure the quality and reliability of biological training data. Required Qualifications Practical experience in molecular biology with hands-on design of DNA and RNA sequences for experimental applications. Advanced degree in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, Synthetic Biology, Bioengineering, or a closely related life sciences discipline. PhD strongly preferred. Demonstrated expertise in designing molecular biology reagents such as primers, plasmids, RNA constructs, repair templates, or similar genetic tools. Strong scientific writing and communication skills with the ability to clearly explain design decisions and biological reasoning. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications Strong peer-reviewed publication record demonstrating research excellence. Publications in highly regarded journals or preprint platforms such as Nature , bioRxiv , Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory Press , eLife , or other leading life science publications. Applicants are encouraged to include links to relevant publications with their application. Experience mentoring researchers or reviewing scientific work is an advantage. Engagement Details Initial engagement involving approximately 50–100 molecular biology design tasks . Expected project duration of 2–3 weeks , with strong potential for extension based on project requirements and performance. Fast onboarding with an immediate start for selected candidates. Opportunity to contribute directly to the development of advanced AI systems for scientific research. Equal Opportunity We are committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all qualified applicants and offer reasonable accommodations throughout the application and engagement process upon request.
