We are seeking an experienced BSA Officer / MLRO to lead, manage, and execute our Anti- Money Laundering (AML), Counter-Financing of Terrorism (CFT), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) program. In this role, you will serve as the primary operational authority responsible for protecting our platform against financial crime, ensuring strict compliance with FinCEN regulations, and serving as the direct liaison to our U.S. Partners. Responsibilities Program Governance & Strategy: Design, implement, and continuously update the company’s BSA/AML/OFAC policies, procedures, and risk assessments to align with FinCEN guidelines and sponsor bank requirements. Partner Bank Oversight: Act as the primary point of contact for our U.S. partners for all AML/BSA audits, compliance reporting, policy approvals, and regulatory reviews. Transaction Monitoring & SAR Filings: Oversee automated transaction monitoring systems to detect suspicious patterns, investigate escalated alerts, and make independent determinations regarding Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) and Currency Transaction Report (CTR) filings. KYC / CIP & Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD): Maintain robust Customer Identification Programs (CIP) and execute EDD on high-risk accounts, Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs), and complex corporate entities. Sanctions & Watchlist Screening: Ensure real-time, ongoing screening against OFAC, PEP, and global watchlists. Regulatory Reporting & Requests: Manage responses to FinCEN 314(a)/314(b) information requests, law enforcement subpoenas, and regulatory inquiries. Reporting to the Board: Prepare and present periodic updates on the state of the BSA program, risk typologies, and alert metrics directly to the CEO and Board of Directors. Training & Culture: Develop and deliver annual BSA/AML training tailored to all personnel, executive management, and relevant operational teams. Qualifications & Skills US Location (Mandatory): Must be legally authorized to work in and physically reside in the United States. Experience: Minimum 5+ years of direct BSA/AML compliance, financial crime prevention, or MLRO experience at a U.S. financial institution, sponsor bank, or fintech company. Regulatory Expertise: Deep operational knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act, FinCEN rules, OFAC sanctions, and FFIEC exam guidelines. Technical Proficiency: Experience configuring and working with modern AML transaction monitoring software, sanctions engines, and case management tools.
