What We’re Looking For: The Licensing Specialist is a member of a small team of licensing professionals which serve as the point of contact for all Mortgage Loan Originator licensing-related matters. The primary area of responsible for ensuring mortgage loan originators (MLOs) maintain current and accurate records in the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS). What You'll Do: Oversee and manage the end-to-end licensing process for all Mortgage Loan Originators (MLOs) within the NMLS. Ensure timely and accurate completion of all NMLS filings related to MLO licensing, including new applications, renewals, and amendments. Monitor and track MLO pre-licensing education, testing requirements, and background checks to ensure compliance. Manage the MLO license renewal process, ensuring all requirements are met before deadlines to avoid lapses. Track and ensure MLO compliance with continuing education requirements in all applicable states. Serve as the primary point of contact for MLOs regarding their licensing inquiries and provide clear and timely communication. Proactively identify and resolve any licensing issues or discrepancies. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all MLO licenses, sponsorships and related documentation. Perform other duties as assigned, based on competencies and experience. Knowledge of mortgage licensing, renewal, and CE requirements is a plus High-speed internet required for remote work, Cable or Fiber ONLY with the ability to connect via Ethernet. Minimum speeds: 70/30 Mbps (basic), 200-300/35-70 Mbps (shared), 500-1,000/100+ Mbps (heavy use). **Please note that the compensation and benefit information that follows is a good faith estimate for this position only and is provided pursuant to applicable state and local laws on pay transparency. It is estimated based on what a successful applicant in the relevant state might be paid. ** Compensation: The compensation for this position generally ranges from between $28 - $36 per hour based on experience and qualifications.
