What You’ll Be Doing: Satisfactorily originates new mortgage loans (purchase, refinance, and subordinate) for new and existing members while providing a consistent, high-quality service and experience to WEST consin Credit Union members Advises members prior to application Educates members on available mortgage loan products, the mortgage origination lifecycle and corresponding timeline Inputs accurate, complete and detailed mortgage loan applications Reviews and analyzes credit reports; educates members on their credit report, including ways to improve credit ratings Identifies the best mortgage loan product based upon the member’s application and the member’s needs Proactively identifies shortcomings with the member’s application based upon industry knowledge, loan program specifications and Credit Union procedures and policies, and effectively communicates potential obstacles to members Identifies, requests and successfully collects documents and forms required, from the member, as a part of the origination process Reviews mortgage loan disclosures and verifies member’s understanding of the proposed loan terms Closes mortgage loans as applicable and attends mortgage loan closings facilitated by third parties, as appropriate Provides timely and accurate information to members and other third parties involved with the mortgage transaction Communicates underwriting decisions to members, up to and including loan denial Responds to and resolves member questions, concerns, and complaints Keeps Assistant Vice President – Mortgage Production aware of any member concerns or incidents Obtains and maintains relevant mortgage lending knowledge based upon general mortgage lending practices, Credit Union policies and procedures and other industry resources Collaborates with internal team members and departments; is an available mortgage resource to other WEST consin Credit Union departments and employees Promotes Credit Union within respective community through networking activities, chamber events, trade shows/seminars and WEST consin Credit Union sponsored events What You’ll Need to Be Successful: Associate’s degree or equivalent and four years of related experience in financial services and/or lending experience required Strong written and oral communications skills with an emphasis on urgent and timely responses Why Choose WEST consin: Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance Plans Annual Healthy Living Fund Contribution Student Loan Repayment Program Competitive Salary Impressive 401(k) Contribution and Match Plan Paid Time Off Accrual 11 Paid Holidays Visit WEST consin Careers
