ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for an exceptional Senior Motion Designer who knows how to make software look extraordinary.

You’ll create polished product films, feature launches, UI animations, explainers, and campaign assets that transform complex software into clear, memorable visual stories. Your work should feel premium, intentional, and meticulously crafted—from the timing of a cursor movement to the easing of a transition and the rhythm of the final edit.

This is a hands-on senior role. You’ll take projects from an initial idea or creative brief through concept development, storyboarding, animation, editing, sound design, and final delivery. We’re looking for someone with excellent visual judgment, exceptional motion-design fundamentals, and a portfolio demonstrating outstanding commercial work.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Create premium product videos, feature reveals, launch films, animated explainers, and brand-motion assets for software products.

• Transform static Figma designs and screen recordings into fluid, realistic UI animations.

• Make software products feel intuitive, exciting, and visually sophisticated.

• Own projects from concept and storyboard through animation, editing, sound design, feedback, and final export.

• Develop visual stories that communicate product benefits—not merely demonstrate where someone clicks.

• Establish and maintain a consistent motion language across product marketing, websites, sales materials, social media, and paid campaigns.

• Build reusable templates, transitions, text systems, lower-thirds, and other motion components.

• Edit screen recordings, interviews, voiceovers, customer footage, and occasional UGC into engaging commercial content.

• Produce variations in different lengths, aspect ratios, and formats for websites, social platforms, advertisements, and presentations.

• Collaborate with marketing, product, design, and leadership to translate briefs into persuasive visual stories.

• Review audience and campaign performance, then create thoughtful variations of hooks, pacing, messaging, and visual treatments.

• Manage multiple projects independently while maintaining excellent organization, communication, and attention to detail.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• At least five years of professional motion-design experience. Exceptional candidates with fewer than five years may be considered if their portfolios clearly demonstrate senior-level craft, judgment, and ownership.

• Experience in SaaS, technology, a creative agency, or a high-quality commercial studio.

• A standout portfolio featuring polished product films, software or UI animation, motion graphics, and commercial storytelling.

• Expert proficiency in Adobe After Effects and strong proficiency in Premiere Pro.

• Strong working knowledge of Figma, Illustrator, and Photoshop.

• Excellent command of animation principles, easing, timing, composition, typography, visual hierarchy, and pacing.

• Ability to animate software interfaces precisely while preserving the integrity of the actual product experience.

• Strong video-editing and sound-design judgment, including music selection, sound effects, and audio timing.

• Experience turning incomplete briefs and rough ideas into presentation-ready creative.

• Ability to work as both a senior creative thinker and a highly capable hands-on designer.

• Strong written and spoken English, clear presentation skills, and a constructive approach to feedback.

• A successful record of remote work with minimal supervision, proactive communication, independent problem-solving, and consistent delivery.

NICE TO HAVE

• Motion-design experience for B2B SaaS, AI, fintech, or other software products.

• Strong illustration, art-direction, or graphic-design capabilities.

• Experience directing voiceovers, selecting music, or developing sound design.

• Familiarity with modern AI-assisted video, audio, cleanup, tracking, or production tools.

• Experience creating paid-social variations and improving creative based on retention, engagement, or conversion data.

WHAT WE EXPECT TO SEE IN YOUR PORTFOLIO

Your portfolio is the most important part of your application. We are specifically looking for software-product films and feature-launch videos; animated product demonstrations and explainers; sophisticated UI choreography; purposeful cursor movement and realistic interface interactions; excellent easing, timing, and pacing; strong typography and composition; thoughtful use of music and sound; clear visual storytelling; polished, modern commercial work; and evidence that you personally owned substantial parts of the creative process.

A general editing reel consisting mainly of talking-head videos, basic captions, presets, or template-based social content will not be sufficient for this position.

WORKING ARRANGEMENT

This is a full-time, remote independent-contractor position. We are accepting applicants based in the Philippines, Latin America, South Africa, and Egypt.

Candidates should be available for at least four working hours of overlap with the US Eastern time zone. The remainder of the workday can be organized flexibly, provided deadlines, reviews, and communication requirements are met.

You must have reliable high-speed internet and a workstation capable of professional motion-design and video-production work.

COMPENSATION

The final offer will depend on experience, portfolio quality, technical range, communication skills, and ability to lead projects independently.

INTERVIEW PROCESS

Shortlisted candidates will participate in a structured portfolio interview. A small paid practical exercise may be used if we need additional work-sample evidence. Candidates will not be asked to produce unpaid commercial work.
