Job Description MSP Program Supervisor Department: Washington Healthcare Staffing Network Reports to: MSP Manager FLSA Status: Salaried Exempt Location: Hybrid Remote located in Washington Supervisory: Yes Established: 11/2025 Revised: 8/2026 Position Summary The MSP Program Supervisor plays a key leadership role in the Washington Healthcare Staffing Network (WHSN), a statewide Managed Service Provider (MSP) program supporting rural and critical access hospitals across Washington. This position oversees the day-to-day operations of the MSP, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration between healthcare facilities and staffing agencies. The Supervisor is responsible for maintaining program efficiency, ensuring compliance with program and facility requirements, and driving high levels of customer satisfaction among both hospitals and agency partners. The MSP Program Supervisor may directly manage a team of support staff, including Credentialing Specialists and Staffing Specialists, and is responsible for coaching, performance oversight, and fostering a culture of service excellence and continuous improvement. Qualifications Education Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field in healthcare (or equivalent experience). Certification in Healthcare Staffing (e.g. ASA Certified Health Care Staffing Professional) required within 2 years. Certification in Human Resources (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) preferred Experience Minimum of five (5) years of experience in healthcare staffing, MSP operations, or a related healthcare role. Demonstrated experience managing client or vendor relationships in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment. At least three (3) years of leadership experience strongly preferred Skills/Knowledge/Abilities Commitment to the mission of supporting rural hospitals through high-quality staffing solutions. Strong understanding of healthcare credentialing, compliance, and workforce coordination processes. Familiarity with WA state/federal labor law. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Excellent time management skills with ability to anticipate tasks and prioritize assignments. Ability to independently utilize tools, networks, and resources to gather information, solve challenges, and optimize processes. Ability to generate creative Ability to optimize the use of software systems for maximum efficiency Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to draft professional communication including email, offer letters, job announcements Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a dynamic team. Promote/deliver excellent customer service to both internal and external customers (hospitals, staffing agencies) Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to navigate complex stakeholder relationships. Proficiency with staffing or vendor management systems (VMS), Microsoft Office Suite, and collaborative tools such as Microsoft Teams. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Serve as a primary point of contact for all day-to-day MSP program operations, supporting both participating hospitals and staffing agency partners. Supervise MSP support staff, including Staffing Specialists and Credentialing Specialists, providing direction, guidance, and performance feedback. Monitor program performance metrics to ensure efficiency, compliance, and service quality. Oversee the timely and accurate submission of candidate profiles, credentialing documents and timesheets. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to candidate onboarding, HCP cancellations, scheduling, timekeeping, or invoicing. Ensure all agency and facility partners adhere to WHSN policies, contracts, and compliance standards. Collaborate with hospitals to assess staffing needs and maintain alignment with program goals and workforce requirements. Support agency partners by facilitating communication, resolving escalations, and ensuring program understanding and engagement. Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend enhancements to improve program performance and participant experience. Prepare and present regular reports on program status, key performance indicators (KPIs), and compliance trends. Participate in strategic planning initiatives to expand and strengthen the MSP program across the state. Assist with the development of the annual budget as well as monitoring the current budget monthly. Virtually orient new staff. Conduct or participate in virtual meetings with agencies, facilities, and RHE staff. Coordinate with other RHE leaders on after-hours support for agencies and facilities. Licensing & Special Requirements: Must have reliable transportation and the ability to attend in-person meetings at a variety of locations throughout the state. If driving a personal vehicle, the employee must have a valid driver's license and automobile coverage greater than 100/300/100. Working Conditions & Physical Requirements Most work is performed in a remote home-office setting. Some travel (less than 5%) to attend meetings and occasional overnight stay may be required. May require occasional evening hours. May require standing or sitting for long periods of time. Position requires hand manipulative skills for word processing and writing. Must be able to hear verbal conversations over the phone and in-person with background noise. Must be able to consistently identify objects and persons at a distance and read fine print on various forms.
