The NAMR Director – Major Contract Execution & Strategy is a senior role focused on BCG's largest, most complex value-based pricing (VBP) client contracts across North America. Sitting at the intersection of commercial strategy, legal and finance consideration, and contract execution, this role helps BCG teams navigate high-stakes commercial arrangements throughout the post-signature lifecycle. As part of the NAMR VBP team, the Director serves as a trusted advisor to Managing Directors & Partners (MDPs) and case teams when complex contractual or commercial issues arise. The role includes assessing and operationalizing complex contract terms, identifying commercial and contractual risk, resolving disputes, restructuring commercial arrangements, and developing/participating in negotiations with senior client executives. The Director also identifies learnings across BCG's contract portfolio and translates them into stronger commercial strategies and execution practices. What You'll Do Major Contract Execution, Strategy & Negotiation Serve as a trusted advisor to MDPs and case teams on BCG's largest and most complex VBP arrangements Identify contractual, financial, operational, and client risks; develop strategies to address them before they materially affect program outcomes Lead problem-solving on complex execution issues, including ambiguous contract terms, changing circumstances, scope or economic challenges, disputes, and payment issues Develop negotiation strategies and participate directly in client negotiations where needed, incl. C-suite and other executives Integrate financial, legal, commercial, and client considerations to develop practical, business-oriented solutions Partner with Finance, Legal, Commercial, Risk, and other stakeholders to align senior teams and shape strategy Portfolio Insight & Execution Excellence Lead reviews of major contracts to identify patterns, lessons learned, and opportunities to strengthen future contract structures, negotiations, and execution Help case teams translate complex contractual commitments into practical execution requirements Develop and improve guidance and best practices for contract execution, risk management, and invoicing discipline Coach MDPs, case teams, and cross-functional colleagues on effective execution of complex commercial arrangements What You'll Bring Bachelor's degree required; JD preferred, or equivalent experience in complex commercial contracting and negotiation 8+ years of relevant professional experience in legal practice, commercial contracting, complex negotiations, consulting, or a comparable environment Significant experience analyzing, negotiating, and/or advising on complex commercial agreements Demonstrated ability to navigate sophisticated negotiations involving senior internal and external stakeholders Strong commercial judgment and the ability to develop practical solutions where contractual terms, economics, business objectives, execution considerations, and client relationships may be in tension Experience with commercial disputes, claims, or other contested contractual matters is preferred While this role may be particularly attractive to an attorney interested in applying legal, contractual, and negotiation expertise in a broader commercial and strategic capacity, we welcome candidates from non-legal backgrounds with significant experience in sophisticated commercial negotiations and complex contractual arrangements. Ability to manage multiple complex matters in a fast-paced environment with sound judgment and discretion Who You'll Work With The NAMR VBP team; Commercial, Legal, Finance, Global Revenue, Risk, and other BST functions; NAMR senior leadership; and case teams and MDPs across North America. Total compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, contributions to BCG’s Profit Sharing and Retirement Fund ( PSRF ), and a market leading benefits package described below. We expect total annualized compensation for Boston-based employees to be approximately the following: Base salary between $164,000- $202,000 (USD) ; placement within this range will vary based on experience and skill level Annual discretionary performance bonus between 0-30% 5% Profit Sharing Retirement Fund ( PSRF ) contribution, increasing to 10% after two years of service.
