At Piris Labs , we are reimagining compute infrastructure for AI inference. Our mission is to bring together leading AI scientists and hardware experts to redefine what compute can become in the inference era. We are hiring Nanofabrication Engineers to help advance our next generation processing and packaging efforts. We are open to both senior and junior candidates , with responsibilities matched to experience. What You’ll Work On Develop and optimize nanofabrication processes for advanced photonic and hardware systems Photolithography process development using tools such as MLA150 Heidelberg systems (\~1 µm resolution) Work with E-beam lithography tools (100–120 kV class) Deep UV lithography process development Dry and wet etching processes Thick metal deposition and lift-off processes Sputtering, E-beam evaporation, PECVD, and annealing workflows Process integration for packaging and device fabrication Film and surface characterization using: Ellipsometry, AFM, SEM Preferred Background Hands-on cleanroom fabrication experience Strong understanding of nanofabrication chemistry and process interactions Experience in UC Berkeley nanofabrication facilities or Stanford University cleanrooms is a major plus PhD preferred (MS/BS with strong experience also considered) Prior experience in fiber optics or photonics is a plus Who You Are You are practical, detail-oriented, and excited to build real hardware from first principles. You want to work in a fast-moving environment where your work directly shapes frontier compute systems.
