As the National Portfolio Manager for Auto, you will play a critical role in turning portfolio insights into action by identifying opportunities, assessing impacts, and working across teams to advance initiatives that improve portfolio performance and business outcomes for the Auto Portfolio. In this role, you will work closely with the product and other partner teams, providing directional leadership on the Auto Portfolio. How you will create impact: Monitoring portfolio performance using data analytics and optimization, ensuring loss prevention and compliance processes are implemented and developing action plans to meet profitability and growth objectives. Providing direction for projects and managing multiple business initiatives, tasks and analysis with key stakeholders. Formulating business rules, underwriting guidelines, risk appetite and portfolio philosophies. Collaborating with stakeholders regarding product pricing and deviations, developing portfolio initiatives, enforcing best practices, ensuring gaps are managed and change is sustained. Remaining informed of industry trends impacting national and international insurance markets, tracking competitors and emerging client needs, identifying enhanced product offerings and creating strategic partnerships with industry stakeholders. How you will succeed: You have an innovative mindset to improve operational efficiencies and ability to influence change, with a primary focus on client needs. You use critical thinking skills to recognize assumptions, evaluate arguments, draw conclusions and proactively propose solutions for issues resolution. You have strong communication skills to clearly convey messages and explore diverse points of view. You build trusting relationships and provide guidance to support the development of colleagues. To join our team: You have 8 - 10 years of experience in a product management, portfolio analysis in the P&C insurance industry. You have post-secondary education in Business, Finance, Actuarial Science or Statistics. You have or are working towards the Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) or Fellow Chartered Insurance Professional (FCIP) designation(s) or Associate/Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS/FCAS). You have working knowledge of the Auto and/or Personal Lines product model, tools and systems, related markets and external influences impacting products. You have an analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data in order to drive initiatives forward. This position primarily works with majority non-francophone groups, and teams located outside of Québec, and requires proficiency in English. The essential non-French duties are not assignable to adjacent or other team members. Expected salary $91,058 - $141,000+. The salary amount for the successful candidate is determined by Co-operators in its discretion and will vary depending on several criteria including but not limited to: local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualification, experience and education. ​ Employees may also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn additional compensation tied to individual and/or business performance, or other business metrics. #IN-DNI #LI-DNI
