Position: .NET Azure DevOps Engineer JP055185 Location: Brussels (Hybrid: 2 days on-site, 3 days telework) Contract Duration: September 14, 2026 – December 31, 2026 (Initial 4-month assignment with potential extension) Working Hours: Full-time (40 hours/week) Position Overview We are seeking an experienced .NET Azure DevOps Engineer to join a dynamic, multidisciplinary platform engineering team within a large-scale public sector IT department. Operating under the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), the team works transversally to enable, scale, and optimize the Azure Cloud platform for 11 internal development teams. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain reusable .NET backend components and Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines, enabling seamless adoption of cloud architecture across the organization. You will also provide technical leadership, mentor team members, and ensure high code quality through continuous integration and testing standards. Key Responsibilities Core .NET Development & Platform Enablement: Design, develop, and maintain reusable .NET components using C# and ASP.NET Core for consumption by other development streams. Provide technical documentation, developer guidance, and operational support for shared code libraries and components. DevOps Infrastructure & Automation: Build and maintain reusable CI/CD infrastructure using Azure DevOps, YAML pipelines, PowerShell scripting, and Bicep files (Infrastructure as Code). Streamline automated deployment, build pipelines, and release management across environments. Agile Collaboration & Technical Leadership: Active participation in SAFe framework ceremonies, including Program Increment (PI) planning, sprint planning, and daily standups. Mentor and coach less experienced team members across development teams, conducting code reviews and guiding technical best practices. Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve complex technical bugs and platform bottlenecks. Quality Assurance & Process Improvement: Enforce high quality standards via unit testing, integration testing, and automated QA methods. Continuously evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and practices to optimize delivery efficiency. Core Competencies & Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science (or equivalent practical experience). Minimum 5 years of experience in a DevOps / .NET Software Engineering role. Technical Competencies Core Development: Strong expertise in C#, ASP.NET Core, and basic SQL. Cloud & Infrastructure as Code: Strong hands-on experience with Azure Cloud services and Bicep. CI/CD & Version Control: Proven proficiency in Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines, YAML, PowerShell, and Git version control. Desirable Technical Assets (Nice-to-Have) Experience with WCF, Blazor, or gRPC (Remote Procedure Calls). Hands-on experience with GitHub Enterprise.
