Network Engineer Build, operate and evolve the networks that keep businesses connected. Apply here The team, position & mission: The Network team at Orange Business is a cross-country team of network specialists working across Norway and Sweden. We are responsible for operating, maintaining, and continuously improving our network infrastructure to ensure reliable and secure services for our customers. As a Network Engineer, you will be part of a broad technical environment covering data center and campus network infrastructure. You will work closely with colleagues across the Network team and other infrastructure departments and our Delivery organization, to deliver stable and high-quality services to our customers. Our network portfolio spans several technologies and domains, including switching, routing, firewalls, load balancing, Wi-Fi, software-defined networking, and network automation. We believe in continuous improvement and actively look for ways to make our work more efficient through automation, scripting, and better tooling. Your key areas of responsibility as Network Engineer: Operate, maintain, and improve network infrastructure across switching, routing, firewalls, load balancing, Wi-Fi, and SDN. Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, taking ownership from investigation to resolution. Participate in the on-call rotation and respond to critical incidents when required. Implement customer changes and maintenance activities in line with established processes and best practices. Design and implement standard network solutions based on customer needs and company architecture. Contribute to projects, lifecycle management, and continuous improvement initiatives. Automate network tasks and improve tooling using technologies such as Ansible and Python. Maintain accurate network documentation, configurations, and inventory. As an ideal candidate you have: 3+ years of professional experience with network infrastructure, preferably in a data center, enterprise, or service provider environment. Strong networking fundamentals and hands-on troubleshooting experience, with the ability to take ownership of incidents and technical problems. Experience with Linux and an interest in network automation, scripting, and operational improvement. Experience working with ITIL-based processes is an advantage. Good communication skills in Norwegian and/or English. Ability to obtain Norwegian security clearance/approval. Experience with the following is an advantage: Juniper switching and routing Cisco firewalls F5 BIG-IP and load balancing VMware NSX / SDN Juniper Mist Wi-Fi Ansible and Python for network automation Network monitoring and operational tooling You don't need to be an expert in every area. We expect you to have a broad network foundation while continuing to deepen your expertise in selected technologies.
