Network Manager

Overview Our organization is seeking an experienced Network Operations Manager to lead the administration, optimization, and security of enterprise infrastructure environments. This individual will oversee network operations, systems administration, virtualization platforms, and end-user support while ensuring the stability, performance, and security of critical business systems. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with proven leadership experience and is comfortable managing technical teams, driving operational improvements, and aligning technology initiatives with organizational goals. Top Skills Required 1. Network Management Experience (4+ Years Required) Proven experience leading, mentoring, and developing technical teams. Experience managing infrastructure, systems administration, and help desk personnel. Ability to provide constructive performance feedback and support employee development. Experience managing departmental budgets and operational expenses. 2. Hands-On Technical Background (Required) Previous experience as a Network Engineer, Network Administrator, Systems Engineer, or similar technical role. Strong knowledge of Windows environments, Microsoft technologies, virtualization platforms, and enterprise networking. Experience supporting virtualized infrastructure and network operations. Nice to Have Citrix experience. Key Responsibilities Oversee the design, deployment, maintenance, and optimization of enterprise network and infrastructure environments, including servers, cloud services, virtualization technologies, backup solutions, routers, switches, load balancers, and related systems. Lead and develop a team of network engineers, systems administrators, technicians, and help desk staff. Foster a collaborative environment that promotes teamwork, accountability, and professional growth. Direct troubleshooting efforts for network outages, infrastructure incidents, and performance-related issues. Partner with technology leadership to implement and maintain security best practices across network and server environments. Ensure proper implementation of firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, and infrastructure hardening standards. Monitor network performance, usage trends, and capacity requirements to support future growth. Develop and manage departmental budgets, forecasts, and technology investment recommendations. Monitor and communicate security-related events and risks to appropriate stakeholders. Ensure adherence to documented operational policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. Oversee unified communications and related infrastructure to ensure system reliability and performance. Stay current on emerging technologies, security threats, and industry best practices. Continuously evaluate opportunities to improve operational efficiency, system reliability, and service delivery. Escalate critical incidents and recurring issues to executive leadership when appropriate. Participate in hiring, performance management, and other personnel decisions. Required Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field. Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered. Experience Six to eight years of relevant infrastructure, network administration, or engineering experience. Minimum of four years of leadership or management experience within network operations, infrastructure, or technology support environments. Strong experience with: Windows Server environments Microsoft technologies Network infrastructure administration Virtualization platforms Enterprise security practices Systems monitoring and troubleshooting Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Experience managing operational budgets and technology planning. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on technical involvement. Experience implementing operational processes and best practices. Work Environment Occasional after-hours support may be required. Periodic travel may be required based on business needs. Flexibility to support business continuity efforts during emergencies or operational disruptions. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $125000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
