Vylor has an exciting opportunity for a North America Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Commercial Manager to join our team in Johnston IA . This role will provide strategic EHS leadership across Vylor's North America Commercial organization, partnering closely with commercial leadership, operations, and research EHS teams to drive a strong culture of safety, regulatory compliance, risk management, and operational excellence. As the North America EHS Commercial Manager, you will develop and implement EHS strategies that protect our employees, contractors, customers, and communities while enabling business growth. You will serve as a trusted advisor to commercial leaders and ensure alignment with corporate EHS standards, regulatory requirements, and business objectives. VISA Sponsorship is not available for this position. Relocation assistance is not offered for this position. This is a hybrid role working in-office Tuesday–Thursday; remote Monday and Friday. What You'll Do: Lead the development and execution of North America Commercial EHS strategies aligned with Vylor's business objectives and global EHS vision. Partner with Commercial Leadership Teams to foster a proactive, high-performance safety culture across sales, marketing, agronomy, customer service, and support functions. Provide strategic guidance and oversight for EHS programs, policies, standards, and initiatives across commercial operations. Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, provincial, and local EHS regulatory requirements. Lead risk identification, assessment, and mitigation efforts for commercial activities, including field operations, customer events, travel, fleet safety, and facilities. Lead meetings, deliver orientation, complete necessary regulatory and compliance documentation Monitor EHS performance metrics and trends to drive continuous improvement and risk reduction initiatives. Serve as the primary commercial liaison to key business stakeholders. Lead investigation and review of significant incidents, near misses, and high-potential events to identify root causes and corrective actions. Support emergency preparedness, business continuity, and crisis management planning efforts. Provide leadership and direction for commercial EHS due diligence activities. Develop and deliver EHS training, communications, and engagement programs for commercial employees and leaders. Influence business decisions through risk-based recommendations and strong stakeholder partnerships. Support integration of EHS requirements into commercial processes, projects, acquisitions, and strategic initiatives. Drive compliance assurance activities, audits, assessments, and corrective action management programs. Build organizational EHS capability through coaching, mentoring, and leadership development. Education: Bachelor's Degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline. What Skills You Need: Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive Environmental Health & Safety or Commercial experience. Proven ability to influence senior leaders and drive organizational change without direct authority. Experience developing and implementing strategic initiatives and performance improvement programs. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess risk and develop practical solutions. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic business environment. Experience leading incident investigations and implementing corrective and preventive actions. Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building capabilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and EHS data management systems. Ability to travel throughout North America as business needs require. What Makes You Stand Out: Experience supporting agricultural, manufacturing, commercial, research, or life sciences operations. Demonstrated success leading regional or enterprise-wide EHS transformation initiatives. Strong compliance and audit experience. Experience engaging with external regulatory agencies and industry associations. Advanced leadership, coaching, and change management skills. Proven track record of improving culture and performance through strategic leadership. Master's degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
