Job Overview The Associate Analyst support the billable project lifecycle process, with primary responsibility for accurate and timely administration of new business opportunities, including project setup code creation, through to project completion across assigned Americas practice. Working under the guidance of more experienced team members, this role bridges operations and finance, ensuring accurate project configuration in support of project economics, revenue and billing readiness. The Associate Analyst builds foundational knowledge of project economics, revenue operations and the systems used across the lifecycle, while providing dependable, high-quality service to Business Managers, Executive Assistants and Finance stakeholders in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Support basic project setup from opportunity conversion through project code creation, perform project reviews to verify required information is accurate and aligned with available documentation and provided commercial terms, including budget extensions, backlog adjustments across coverage for assigned practice. Collect, verify and validate core project details, including client legal entities, revenue recognition type, fees, timelines, billing details, performance fee structures and other required system data points; escalate exceptions or missing information promptly. Support maintenance of project attributes in Certinia to ensure accurate allocation and reporting of project and partner economics by completing assigned data checks and flagging discrepancies to senior team members for resolution. Maintain daily work queues, providing clear status updates and flagging aged items, documentation gaps or setup blockers. Act as primary point of contact with Controllership team for PEA validation and as needed assist in coordinating with Talent Management on project data queries, in support of revenue recognition activities for assigned practice. Assist with routine project lifecycle inquiries, including opportunity management and status new codes available, and timesheet issues using established policies, procedures and templates, escalating non-routine or commercially complex matters. Support month-end and year-end activities by reconciling open items and helping close outstanding setup. Capture and report recurring questions, process issues and learning points to strengthen standard operating procedures, handoffs and team knowledge materials. Support ad hoc analysis and reporting, including basic variance checks, Tableau or Power BI extracts, data investigation and recurring operational reports. Experience Required Initial experience in a commercial, finance, operations or professional services environment; internship or placement experience is acceptable. Working knowledge of Excel, including lookups, SUMIFS, conditional formatting, filtering and pivot tables. Exposure to project accounting/invoicing or project lifecycle systems; Salesforce, Certinia or comparable platforms are beneficial, but not required. Skills & Attributes Strong attention to detail and willingness to follow defined controls and operating procedures. Highly organized, ability to connect information across contracts, client history and operational workflow and prioritize routine work and meet deadlines during month- and quarter-end peaks. Clear and professional written and verbal communication, with confidence to seek clarification and provide concise status updates. Service-oriented and dependable, with excellent follow-through skills and positive collaborative approach. Proactive, curious and analytical, with an interest in understanding how project setup decisions affect revenue and downstream business reporting. Risk-aware when handling confidential or business-critical information. Thrive in fast-paced, corporate environment. Hybrid role requiring a presence in the office. Fluent English required.
