At Happy Days Nurseries, we're looking for an organised, people-focused Onboarding Lead to deliver a welcoming, seamless and engaging experience for every new colleague joining our business.
From offer acceptance through to their first year with us, you'll play a key role in helping new starters feel connected, supported and set up for success.
This is a fully remote role with an expectation of travel within the group so you will need to be living within the geographical footprint of Happy Days Group.

What you'll do
- Be the main point of contact for new hires from offer to their first year.
- Create a smooth and positive onboarding journey that keeps candidates engaged before they start.
- Coordinate inductions, welcome activities and training programmes.
- Work with Managers to ensure everything is ready for Day One.
- Monitor new starter experience, wellbeing and retention through regular check-ins.
- Gather feedback, analyse trends and identify opportunities to improve the colleague experience.
- Support managers to deliver great local inductions and onboarding experiences.
- Track onboarding and retention metrics to help shape future improvements.
We're looking for someone who:
- Loves creating great experiences for people.
- Is highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Has experience in onboarding, recruitment, HR or employee experience.
- Builds positive relationships and communicates with confidence.
- Is comfortable using HR systems and reporting tools.
- Has a proactive approach and enjoys improving processes.
- Can influence and support managers to deliver great colleague experiences.
