Description
Under general supervision, following established policies, procedures, and professional guidelines, provides care to patients by triaging oncology patient
calls regarding treatment, surgery and appointment information. Provides patient education and clinical direction by answering questions regarding their
plan of care or any new concerns related but not limited to chemotherapy, radiation, infusion treatments, and surgery. Provides assistance in scheduling all
appointments. Plans and documents nursing assessments, identifies and reports situations requiring further intervention, formulates and communicates
goal-directed plan of care, and assures patient rights. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of Tampa
General Hospital and principles of quality improvement
Qualifications
FL RN License, BSN Required, 2 years minimum experience as an RN.
Oncology experience preferred.
Oncology Nursing Certification preferred.
Good communications skills and computer skills. Ability to communicate with physicians.
