My Language Plug (MLP) is an online language-learning platform connecting students with quality language tutors from around the world.

The Opportunity
We are currently looking for Italian Language Tutors to join the My Language Plug platform.
We are particularly interested in tutors who are native or highly proficient Italian speakers, with the ability to communicate comfortably in English.
This is a flexible online opportunity where you can teach students from different backgrounds and help them achieve their personal, academic, professional, or travel-related language goals.
What You'll Do
- Conduct engaging one-on-one Italian lessons online
- Help students improve their speaking, listening, reading, writing, grammar, pronunciation, and vocabulary
- Adapt lessons to suit each student's individual level, goals, and learning style
- Create a positive, encouraging, and comfortable learning environment
- Communicate clearly with students and provide constructive feedback
- Build strong professional relationships with your students
- Maintain an organised and reliable teaching schedule
- Use online teaching and communication platforms confidently
- Support students in developing practical Italian communication skills
- Continuously improve your teaching approach and knowledge
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Strong command of the Italian language
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Comfortable teaching students online
- Comfortable using computers, video calls, online scheduling systems, and other digital platforms
- Friendly, patient, approachable, and encouraging personality
- Genuine passion for teaching and helping others learn
- Ability to adapt your teaching style to different students and ability levels
Highly Desirable:
- Native Italian speaker
- Previous experience teaching Italian or another language
- Teaching qualification, language certification, or relevant educational background
- Experience working with students from different cultural backgrounds
- Experience with online tutoring platforms
- Ability to teach both conversational and structured Italian
- Ability to develop personalised lessons and learning materials
