The Operational Learning Administration Team work with the core delivery teams within the department to support the co-ordination of specialist skills training including Public & Personal Safety training, Driver training, Crime training, Initial & Assessment and Force systems.
The Administration team is responsible for co-ordinating event management and logistics relating to Operational Learning training schedules. This includes, managing demand, eligibility, booking/cancellations, impact assessing changes to ensure events can run effectively and efficiently and the timely update of attendance and skills.
The admin team also facilitate the functional operation of iLearn, the BCH Learning Management System (LMS) which controls the data for deployable skills which feed into CARM, the Resource Management System. This includes understanding system related processes, functionality, recognising anomalies and identifying the consequential impacts to support with issue resolution.
We also act as the first point of contact for query management for customers with Operational Learning training and Learning Management System queries. The team also provide a level of support for BCH training related queries outside of Operational Learning and signposting customers to the appropriate contacts and processes.
The role is varied and interacts with a range of stakeholders with links to training responsibilities in the local force areas.
A strong candidate would demonstrate strong organisational skills, versatility, problem solving and interpersonal skills. This should include the ability to identify patterns or inefficiencies and a proactive approach to working with colleagues to provide new ideas and opportunities relating to continuous improvement and implementation of change where required. Experience of systems and IT solutions is critical to the function of the team. Whilst training will be provided, technical/digital capabilities would be beneficial along with experience in process design, continuous improvement and a sense of critical/lateral thinking.
The role is a blend of office working and remote working, based in Cambridgeshire.
