Requisition #: 1740 Job Title: Operations Lead Location: Hybrid, Fort Huachuca, AZ Clearance Level: Secret, Must Have Clearance to Start Required Certification(s): PMP and CISSP or Security+. Job Description Agile Defense is seeking an Operations Lead to support a DoW contract at Ft. Huachuca, AZ. The Operations Lead serves as the contractor’s on-site authority for all daily contract operations. This role oversees all functional areas, ensures staffing and training readiness, manages administrative and reporting requirements, and acts as the primary interface with government leadership. The Operations Lead also collaborates closely with the Government Project Lead on deliverables, priorities, process changes, and operational execution. Manage contract staffing, training, and performance to meet all deliverables. Coordinate with the KO and COR on decisions affecting contract management, staffing, and operational approach. Establish priorities, track performance metrics, and support training on emerging technologies. Oversee administrative, reporting, and compliance functions. Ensure full execution of the PWS, including delegation of responsibilities and operational oversight. Provide daily technical and professional leadership within assigned areas. Lead large, complex projects; analyze diverse issues and develop effective solutions. Manage programs involving strategy development, policy implementation, and resource administrati Education and Background BA/BS with 5+ years of experience, or AA/AS with 7+ years of experience. Certifications: PMP and CISSP, CISM or Security+. Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS. Experience working with the U.S. Army. Years of Experience 5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA Required Skills Proven leadership that empowers teams and drives high performance. Ability to collaborate across diverse organizations and stakeholder groups. Strong organizational, time management, and analytical skills. Working knowledge of IT technologies, vendors, and enterprise products. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, data analysis tools, and project management software. Experience with federal contracting, FAR, and SBA related processes (preferred). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proven experience in program or project management within federal, defense, or enterprise IT environments. Strong understanding of IT service delivery, service management frameworks, and operational support models. Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage complex technical operations. Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and organizational skills. Supervisory Duties Lead and mentor technical and project staff throughout all phases of the program. Provide guidance, performance feedback, and professional development support. Ensure successful integration and execution of all program segments and services. Preferred Skills Experience supporting Department of the Army IT programs. Familiarity with enterprise service management tools and performance dashboards. Ability to operate effectively in high tempo, mission critical environments. Working Conditions Hybrid remote with required local presence and frequent site visits. General office environment; work is mostly sedentary with occasional standing/walking. Standard office equipment and favorable working conditions.
