Oracle EBS HCM Functional Consultant

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Oracle EBS HCM Functional Consultant to support implementation and production support initiatives for Oracle E-Business Suite HCM. The consultant will act as a functional expert and solution advisor, partnering with business stakeholders to gather requirements, configure Oracle HCM modules, prepare functional documentation, and ensure successful project delivery.

This role requires close collaboration with both business and technical teams to design, implement, and support Oracle EBS HCM solutions while providing exceptional customer service across implementation and support engagements.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide functional support for Oracle E-Business Suite HCM modules, including Core HR, Payroll, Benefits, Self-Service HR, and Talent Management.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional solutions and system configurations.
• Configure Oracle EBS HCM applications based on business needs and best practices.
• Troubleshoot functional issues, resolve production support incidents, and perform root cause analysis for recurring problems.
• Prepare functional design documents (FDDs), configuration documentation, and business process documentation.
• Collaborate with technical teams during development, integrations, enhancements, and customizations.
• Participate in unit testing, system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), and production deployments.
• Support Oracle EBS upgrades, patches, and new feature implementations.
• Assist with data conversion, validation, and data quality initiatives.
• Conduct end-user training sessions and create user documentation.
• Participate in client workshops, requirement gathering sessions, and solution discussions.
• Manage multiple priorities while delivering high-quality work within project timelines.
• Support both implementation and application support engagements as required.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 10–12 years of hands-on functional experience with Oracle E-Business Suite HCM.
• Strong expertise in Oracle EBS HCM modules, including:
• Core HR
• Payroll
• Benefits
• Talent Management
• Self-Service HR
• Experience with Oracle EBS R12.2.x features and functionality.
• Proven experience supporting Oracle HCM production environments and resolving complex functional issues.
• Strong understanding of HR, Payroll, and Talent Management business processes.
• Experience creating functional specifications and coordinating with technical development teams.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes, including Incident, Change, and Problem Management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote consulting environment while managing multiple assignments.
• Experience with SQL or PL/SQL for troubleshooting and reporting is an advantage.
• Oracle EBS HCM certifications are preferred.
