Key Responsibilities If you are a CURRENT Utah Office of Recovery Services (ORS) employee, and would love to lead and coach staff, look at this announcement!!! Day-to-day responsibilities of this position: Supervises subordinate personnel including: hiring, determining workload and delegating assignments, training, monitoring and evaluating performance, and initiating corrective or disciplinary actions. Evaluates cases and determines need for on-going agency involvement. Provides assistance and/or on-the-job training. Delivers presentations, stand up training, or instruction to staff, management, clients, or the general public. Designs and/or prepares training/instructional materials, teaching aids and devices. Qualifications Minimum or "day-one" qualifications: Use case management software systems Coordinate the activities or tasks of people, groups and/or organization(s) Maintain confidentiality Deal with people in a manner which shows sensitivity, tact, and professionalism Make a decision or solve a problem by using logic to identify key facts, explore alternatives, and propose quality solutions Speak clearly, concisely and effectively; listen to, and understand, information and ideas as presented verbally Organize information in a clear and concise manner Communicate information and ideas clearly, and concisely, in writing; read and understand information presented in writing Preferred or trainable/on-the-job qualifications: Assess organizational needs such as staffing, training, security, etc. Supervise others by assigning/directing work; conducting employee evaluations, staff training and development, taking appropriate disciplinary/corrective actions, making hiring/termination recommendations, etc. Principles, theories, and practices of performance management Identify the best person for a task, delegate assignments, and direct people as they work Provide technical assistance to users Read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures About the Role Location – 4315 S 2700 W Taylorsville, Utah, 84129 Background Check Required – You must successfully pass a criminal history check Drug Test Required – No Schedule Code – AX - Employees in supervisory positions Why You Should Join Our Team In Utah, we believe hard work is important, but balance is essential.
