Role Description The Ortems Technical role is a full-time remote position responsible for implementing, configuring, and maintaining Ortems planning and scheduling solutions for clients. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing business and production workflows, translating requirements into Ortems configurations, and optimizing parameters to improve efficiency and resource utilization. The role also involves troubleshooting technical issues, performing system tests, and supporting upgrades and integrations with related systems such as ERP or MES platforms. The Ortems Technical specialist collaborates closely with project managers, business stakeholders, and other technical team members to ensure successful solution deployment, user training, and ongoing support. Qualifications
Technical expertise in Ortems or similar advanced planning and scheduling tools, including configuration, customization, and performance optimization.
Experience with manufacturing, supply chain, or production planning processes and the ability to translate operational needs into system solutions.
Proficiency with databases, data analysis, and integration concepts (e.g., APIs, ERP/MES connectivity) to support reliable data flows and reporting.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills, with attention to detail and a structured approach to issue resolution.
Effective communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to work with cross-functional teams and provide clear technical documentation.
Capability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple tasks, and meet project timelines.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience in digital transformation projects or implementations of planning/scheduling solutions is a plus.
