Role Description This is a part-time remote role for an Orthopedician at MantraCare. The Orthopedician will assess, diagnose, and manage musculoskeletal conditions for patients using telehealth consultations and digital tools. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing patient histories, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests when appropriate, creating evidence-based treatment plans, and providing follow-up care. The role also involves collaborating with other healthcare professionals, contributing to clinical protocols for MSK care, and documenting encounters accurately in digital health records. The Orthopedician will support the AI-driven care model by validating clinical pathways and offering expert input to enhance patient outcomes in a virtual care environment.
Qualifications

• Clinical expertise in orthopedics, including diagnosis and management of common musculoskeletal conditions, fractures, and sports injuries.
• Experience with telemedicine or virtual care platforms, and comfort using digital tools for patient communication and documentation.
• Strong patient communication skills, including the ability to explain treatment plans clearly and provide empathetic, culturally sensitive care.
• Ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary environment with primary care providers, physiotherapists, mental health professionals, and care coordinators.
• Commitment to evidence-based practice, ongoing professional development, and adherence to clinical and ethical standards.
• Valid medical degree (MD/DO or equivalent) with specialization or board certification in orthopedics, and current, unrestricted license to practice in relevant jurisdictions.
• Experience with or interest in AI-supported healthcare models and digital health innovation is highly desirable.
• Prior exposure to occupational health, employer-based health programs, or insurer-focused care models is a plus.
