As we continue to experience impressive growth, we are seeking dedicated and skilled Full-Time, Remote Facility Outpatient Surgery Coding Specialists to join our team. This is a temporary, part-time (20 h/w), remote W-2 opportunity currently anticipated to run through September 2026, with the potential for extension or long-term placement based on business needs and performance. We are looking for experienced facility medical coders to code Same Day Surgery Outpatient services for hospitals across the United States. As a Facility Outpatient Surgery Coding Specialist, you will: Review documentation and accurately assign ICD-10-CM, CPT, and applicable modifiers to same-day surgery encounters. Collaborate with the coding manager to ensure accurate and timely completion of charts for facility same-day surgery coding. Ensure compliance with coding rules, guidelines, and client expectations. Maintain high-quality standards and coding accuracy. Requirements Qualifications Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in surgery coding within an acute care hospital, teaching facility, or trauma center. Experience with complex outpatient surgery coding including orthopedics & neurosurgery Certifications: AHIMA credentials required (RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or COC) with facility coding experience . Experience with EPIC & Optum CAC preferred Quality Standards: A demonstrated track record of maintaining 95% coding accuracy and high-quality standards. Assessment: Must pass our coding assessment.
