Job Title: Paralegal Job Location: Shire Hall, Block 2, 1st Floor Salary: £30,024- £32,597 per annum Hours per Week: 37.00 Contract Type: Permanent Closing Date: 14/09/2026 Job Requisition Number: 14659 This post is open to job share PAY AWARD PENDING AT 3.3% salary will increase to £31,015- £33,673 per annum/pro rata for part time About the Team & Role We have an amazing opportunity for a Debt Recovery Paralegal to join our Legal Services Litigation Team. The work you will be carrying out will not only be invaluable to Legal Services but also pivotal to all Service Areas in Gloucestershire County Council. Your work will vary from providing support and assistance to the Debt Recovery Lawyer to holding and managing your own caseload of legal cases including advocating in court where appropriate. In return you will part of a legal team that actively encourages career development opportunities should that be something of interest or importance to you. Effectively manage a caseload covering debt recovery and legal research; and Enjoy a flexible way of working. About You You will need to have excellent organisational and time management skills to allow you to prioritise workloads, some of which can be conflicting priorities. We also need you to be able to work well under pressure. You will need to be flexible, able to adapt from one area of law to another and have excellent communication skills to be able to advocate at court as well as build excellent client relationships.
