About the Role The Paralegal – Capital Markets is an integral part of Latham’s Legal Professional and Paralegal team and will work to support the Capital Markets practice. This role will be responsible for supporting attorneys throughout all phases of capital markets transactions, including managing closing documentation, supporting due diligence processes, tracking deadlines, and ensuring execution of legal documents. The paralegal is expected to work independently, maintain version control, uphold firm standards, and proactively identify and resolve issues. This role will be located in our Hong Kong office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence. Responsibilities & Qualifications Other key responsibilities include: Drafting and managing closing checklists, signature pages, and closing binders Performing basic tasks in connection with capital market transactions including with respect to prospectuses, under-writing agreements, fee mandates and financial statements Helping prepare due diligence questionnaires and support due diligence processes Tracking and managing deadlines for transaction timelines, filings, consents, and other corporate governance matters, including diarising and sharing reminders with the team Coordinating signatures and document execution with clients and internal teams Providing timely updates and status reports on deliverables to attorneys and clients Performing translation tasks as needed We’d love to hear from you if you: Possess the ability to accurately interpret and understand legal concepts and procedures as they relate to practice areas Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal that convey professionalism and responsiveness Exhibit well-developed and professional interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with people at all organisational levels of the firm And have: Relevant experience as a paralegal in an international law firm working with the Capital Markets practice Advanced proficiency in Mandarin and English is required A bachelor's degree in a relevant jurisdiction Benefits & Additional Information Successful candidates will not only be provided with an outstanding career opportunity and welcoming environment, but will also be provided with a generous total compensation package with bonuses awarded in recognition of both individual and firm performance.
