Job Description: We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Legal Assistant to support a growing Australian law firm specializing primarily in Personal Injury and Compensation matters, with some exposure to Family Law matters. This role is ideal for a legal professional who is highly organized, proactive, and capable of providing reliable support in a remote working environment. Responsibilities: Assist with drafting, editing, and formatting legal documents and correspondence. Conduct legal research related to personal injury, compensation, and family law matters. Provide administrative and file management support across active legal matters. Organize and maintain accurate digital files and documentation. Assist with preparation of court documents, briefs, and supporting materials. Communicate professionally with clients and third parties where required. Support diary management, scheduling, and general legal administration tasks. Ensure attention to detail across all written work and legal documentation. Provide ad hoc support to the principal lawyer as needed. Qualifications: Previous experience working within an Australian legal practice is essential. Experience supporting Personal Injury, Compensation, or Family Law matters is preferred. Junior to mid-level candidates are encouraged to apply. Strong written communication and editing skills. Excellent research and organizational abilities. High attention to detail and ability to manage tasks independently. Ability to work effectively in a remote and flexible environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general legal technology platforms. Professional, reliable, and adaptable approach to work.
