Paraplanner / Associate Advisor Remote-Friendly (Full-Time) Charleston, SC | [email protected] | 843-277-3668 About Us We are a boutique wealth management practice specializing in comprehensive, multigenerational financial planning for high-net-worth families with special needs. Our work spans Special Needs Trusts, ABLE accounts, government benefits coordination, caregiver financial planning, portfolio management and estate integration — delivered with the depth and personal attention this client population deserves. We operate under Apollon Wealth Management, a Registered Investment Advisor based in Mount Pleasant, SC. Our practice is growing with a clear long-term vision: become the preeminent special needs financial planning firm in the Southeast, built on a team model where skilled planners grow into trusted advisors with real client relationships and meaningful financial participation in the results they produce. If you’re energized by the idea of building something alongside a lead advisor — shaping processes, developing client relationships from the ground up, and growing into a lead role — this is a rare opportunity to do that in a niche where the planning work genuinely matters. The Opportunity We are hiring an early career financial planner with 1–4 years of RIA or fee-only planning experience who wants to own something — complex planning work, real client relationships, and a defined path to lead advisor within 2–3 years. Year one looks like this: you’ll build financial plans in eMoney, own client follow-up and communication, maintain the CRM, and support the lead advisor in delivering exceptional service across retirement, tax, estate, insurance, and special needs planning. You’ll attend client meetings as a second voice and take on progressively more visible roles as you demonstrate readiness. By year two, you’ll be co-leading meetings and carrying your own households. By year three, the expectation is that you’re managing client relationships independently, with compensation that includes direct participation in the revenue generated by the clients you serve. What You’ll Do Build comprehensive financial plan drafts in eMoney from data intake through completion, covering retirement, tax, estate, insurance, and special needs planning — then collaborate with the lead advisor to refine before client presentation Own client communication and follow-up: action items, documentation requests, meeting prep, post-meeting summaries, and routine client touchpoints between meetings Support seasonal planning workflows across our three structured meeting seasons — spring (tax planning and plan refresh), summer (insurance, estate review, mid-year check-ins), and fall (year-end planning and investment review) Develop working knowledge of SNTs, ABLE accounts, SSI/SSDI, Medicaid, and related benefit programs — and apply that knowledge in plan development and client communications Maintain complete and timely CRM records for all client interactions and planning activity Help build the infrastructure of a growing practice: scalable planning workflows, client-facing educational content, and onboarding processes for the special needs niche What We’re Looking For Required: 1–4 years of financial planning experience at an RIA or fee-only planning firm Demonstrated experience building or substantially contributing to financial plan development Proficiency with eMoney or comparable comprehensive planning software (MoneyGuidePro, RightCapital) Series 65 or 66 licensed, or willingness to obtain prior to taking on client-facing advisory responsibilities — we will support exam preparation Empathetic, detail-oriented, and proactively communicative — you own follow-through without being reminded Self-directed and comfortable working with a high degree of autonomy; you manage your own time and deadlines without daily oversight Genuinely growth-oriented — your five-year goal should involve owning client relationships, not purely supporting someone else’s Meaningful Differentiators: CFP® designation or actively in progress; candidacy will be prioritized Experience with estate planning, trust structures, or government benefit programs Personal or professional connection to the special needs or disability community Experience building internal processes, client-facing content, or planning workflows at a prior firm Professional Standards & Compliance This role operates within a registered investment advisory firm and is subject to the fiduciary standards, recordkeeping requirements, and regulatory obligations governing the delivery of investment advisory services. All team members are expected to: Maintain strict confidentiality of all client information, financial data, and firm records at all times, consistent with firm privacy policies and applicable law Adhere to Apollon Wealth Management’s compliance policies and procedures and support the commitment to operating at the highest ethical and regulatory standards Conduct all client interactions and planning activities in accordance with fiduciary standards and applicable state and federal regulations, and promptly surface any compliance concerns or potential conflicts of interest Protect the integrity of client data across all platforms and systems, complete required regulatory training, and maintain any licenses or registrations in good standing Compensation & Benefits Competitive Base Salary + Quarterly Performance Bonus Retirement 401(k) with 3% safe harbor employer contribution, immediately vested Professional Development CFP® education program reimbursement — up to $2,500 (covers full cost of most CFP Board-registered certificate programs) CFP® exam fee reimbursement — up to $925 (current exam fee) Annual continuing education budget — up to $1,000/year for licenses, CE requirements, and niche-specific training Study time accommodations during CFP® exam preparation windows Schedule & Location We are open to a remote or hybrid working arrangement for the right candidate. We value flexibility and will work with you to find a rhythm that supports both your productivity and a strong working relationship with the lead advisor. Occasional in-person time in Charleston, SC for firm events, client meetings, or planning sessions (travel reimbursed) Generally 35–45 hours/week; expect heavier workload during tax season (February–April) and year-end (November–December) Tools & Systems Familiarity with any of the following is a plus; we will train the right candidate: Financial Planning: eMoney Advisor, Holistiplan CRM: Salesforce Custodian: Schwab and/or Fidelity Portfolio Management: Orion Productivity: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) AI Tools: Claude (Anthropic) for research, drafting, and planning support; Zocks for AI-powered meeting notes and CRM integration How to Apply Submit your resume and a cover letter to [email protected] . Your cover letter should be specific and direct — generic submissions will not be considered. Please address all four of the following: What draws you to comprehensive financial planning as a career, and why our firm specifically Where you want to be professionally in five years — be honest about whether owning client relationships is genuinely your goal Whether you have any personal or professional connection to the special needs or disability community A brief description of a financial plan you built or a complex client situation you navigated — what the situation was, what you did, and what the outcome was Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. We will acknowledge every application and will never leave a candidate without a clear response. We aim to complete interviews within 3–4 weeks of application and make a final decision within 6 weeks of the posting date. Expected start date: 09/01/2026. Final candidates located more than 100 miles from Charleston will be invited to meet in person before a final offer; travel will be reimbursed. We are an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to building an inclusive team and strongly encourage applications from candidates with personal or professional experience in the disability and special needs community. | 2 Wharfside St., Suite 2-0, Charleston, SC 29401 | apollonwealthmanagement.com/advisors/andrew-jaffee
