Paraplanner (AU Financial Planning) | Remote

The Snapshot

You'd be joining an established Australian financial planning practice that looks after clients' super, investments, insurance and retirement plans, alongside tax and estate planning, all under one roof. It's a small, tight-knit advice team, not a call center, and the paraplanning work you do go straight into the advice clients receive.

This role is based in the Philippines and works Australian business hours. It's also evolving alongside the usual paraplanning work, you'll help build out how AI tools support advice production, and your feedback will genuinely shape how that process develops over the next 6 to 12 months.

What You'll Actually Do

• Prepare compliant SOAs and ROAs across superannuation, investments, insurance, retirement planning, SMSFs, trusts, SMAs, and debt strategies
• Translate adviser recommendations into accurate, client-specific advice documents and perform quality assurance before submission
• Conduct technical research, product comparisons, and financial analysis to support advice strategies
• Build and interpret cashflow models and scenario projections
• Prepare and validate data for AI-assisted advice production, reviewing AI-generated outputs for accuracy and compliance
• Maintain advice templates, technical resources, and client records to meet compliance and audit standards
• Provide technical support to advisers and collaborate with advice, operations, and compliance teams to ensure efficient advice delivery
  
  

What You Need To Bring

• 3 to 5 years of paraplanning experience within Australian financial planning or wealth management.
• A track record producing SOAs and ROAs across trusts, SMSFs, insurance, SMAs and debt strategies.
• Solid technical knowledge of super, investments, insurance, retirement planning and tax-aware strategies.
• Confidence running and explaining cashflow models and scenario analysis.
• A genuine, working understanding of Australian financial advice compliance, regulatory requirements and audit trail standards. This is a real requirement, not a preference: the advice you help produce has to hold up against Australian licensee standards, and that only comes from having worked inside them.
• Sharp attention to detail and comfort working with complex client data.
• Experience with financial planning software such as Adviser Logic, FIN365 or Xplan (or a similar platform), plus Microsoft Office.
• Clear written and spoken English, and the ability to work well as part of a small remote team.
• Openness to change, since parts of this role will shift as AI-supported advice production develops.

• Experience using AI tools to support research, documentation or process improvement.
• Experience improving SOA/ROA templates or technical documentation standards.
• Exposure to workflow, CRM or compliance platforms.
