Part-Time SEO & AEO Specialist

We’re looking for a Part-Time SEO & AEO Specialist to help improve our visibility across traditional search engines and AI-powered answer engines.

This is a hands-on role for someone who understands SEO, AEO (Answer Engine Optimization), content strategy, technical optimization, and authority building.

Responsibilities

• Conduct keyword and search-intent research
• Optimize website pages, titles, meta descriptions, headings, internal links, and content
• Perform technical SEO audits and identify ranking issues
• Monitor Google Search Console, GA4, rankings, and organic performance
• Build and execute backlink and digital PR strategies
• Research competitors and identify content and authority gaps
• Create SEO-focused content strategies and briefs
• Optimize existing blog posts and landing pages
• Improve visibility in AI search and answer engines, including ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, Gemini, and similar platforms
• Structure content so it is easier for search engines and AI systems to understand, cite, and surface
• Implement and optimize structured data/schema where relevant
• Improve entity authority, topical coverage, FAQs, and question-based content
• Track SEO and AEO visibility, traffic, conversions, rankings, citations, and mentions
• Provide clear reporting on completed work and performance

Requirements

• Proven experience in SEO with measurable results
• Strong understanding of AEO, AI search, generative search, and LLM visibility
• Strong knowledge of keyword research, search intent, on-page SEO, and technical SEO
• Experience with tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog, or similar
• Experience with backlink acquisition and off-page SEO
• Understanding of schema markup and structured content
• Strong written English
• Ability to work independently and prioritize high-impact opportunities
• Results-focused mindset — we care about rankings, AI visibility, qualified traffic, leads, and revenue

Nice to Have

• Experience improving brand visibility in ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, or Google AI Overviews
• Experience with agency or B2B websites
• Local SEO experience
• WordPress experience
• Digital PR experience
• Understanding of CRO and landing-page optimization
