The Opportunity
As a Patient Access Advocate, you'll be the vital connection between patients and life-changing medications. You'll own patient issues from start to finish, identifying and removing barriers that prevent access to needed therapies. Working with patients, providers, and pharmaceutical companies, you'll build lasting relationships and ensure adherence to treatment plans that transform lives.

What You'll Do
- Build and maintain relationships with patients, providers, and stakeholders to ensure their best interests are met. Proactively keep them informed of progress and solutions. Travel to regional stakeholders as needed.
- Act as a patient advocate by identifying all possible coverage avenues and removing barriers that impede access to needed therapies.
- Manage incoming calls, determine customer needs, and document interactions per established guidelines and procedures.
- Provide oversight and guidance on prescription transfers to specialty pharmacies based on urgency levels.
- Support case management and reimbursement initiatives across multiple programs, including patient assistance programs, Hubs, compliance programs, and reimbursement hotlines.
- Train and mentor new Patient Access Advocates through shadowing and reverse shadowing.
- Communicate clearly and professionally in both verbal and written forms, with grammatically correct and concise language.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree preferred, or High School Diploma/GED with 4+ years of healthcare or customer service experience
- Exceptional customer service skills with a proven ability to navigate patient needs and identify obstacles before they become roadblocks
- Dexterity with multiple computer programs and systems
- Strong process knowledge with the ability to anticipate next steps, identify issues, and solve problems
- Attention to detail, keen problem-solving skills, and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Genuine empathy toward customers and the ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced environment
